- Barcelona can remain top of the pile

The new LaLiga season is up and running and already the table is starting to take shape.

Barcelona have taken the initiative at the summit with four wins from four matches and usual candidates Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are just behind them.

At the other end of the table there have been slow starts from Sevilla and Valencia, who will be hoping to climb out of the relegation zone this weekend.

Real Betis vs Leganes (Friday, 8pm)

Real Betis have made a slow start to the season, but finished seventh in LaLiga last term and can pick up their first win against newly promoted Leganes.

Score prediction: Real Betis 2-0 Leganes

Mallorca vs Villarreal (Saturday, 1pm)

Mallorca's opening four matches in LaLiga have produced just four goals and their clash with Villarreal could be another low-scoring affair, with the draw the likely outcome.

Score prediction: Mallorca 1-1 Villarreal

Espanyol vs Alaves (Saturday, 3.15pm)

Alaves defeated Real Sociedad and Las Palmas before the international break and they can make it three wins on the spin when they take on Espanyol.

Publicidad

Score prediction: Espanyol 0-1 Alaves

Sevilla vs Getafe (Saturday, 5.30pm)

All three of Getafe's matches in LaLiga this term have finished all square and they could be set for another draw when they play winless Sevilla.

Score prediction: Sevilla 1-1 Getafe

Real Sociedad vs Real Madrid (Saturday, 8pm)

Draws with Mallorca and Las Palmas have halted Real Madrid's progress in LaLiga this season, but they have also posted two wins to nil and can shut out Real Sociedad, who have won just one of their four contests.

Score prediction: Real Sociedad 0-2 Real Madrid

Claudio Giraldez will hope to see Cleta Vigo claim a third victory of the LaLiga season.

Celta Vigo vs Real Valladolid (Sunday, 1pm)

Real Valladolid were hammered 7-0 by Barcelona in their final game before the international hiatus and another defeat could await them against Celta Vigo.

Hosts Celta have collected six points from their four matches and can pick up a third win of the campaign.

Score prediction: Celta Vigo 2-1 Real Valladolid

Girona vs Barcelona (Sunday, 3.15pm)

Barcelona have been the standout team in LaLiga this season, winning all four of their matches and scoring 13 goals in the process.

They should be too strong for Girona, who are still dealing with an exodus of players from the summer.

Score prediction: Girona 1-2 Barcelona

Las Palmas vs Athletic Bilbao (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Las Palmas are in the lower echelons of LaLiga, but they have held Sevilla and Real Madrid to draws on their own patch and they can also nick a point off Athletic Bilbao.

Score prediction: Las Palmas 1-1 Athletic Bilbao

Atletico Madrid vs Valencia (Sunday, 8pm)

Atletico Madrid are unbeaten from their opening four games in LaLiga, conceding just twice in the process and they can ease to victory over basement boys Valencia.

Score prediction: Atletico Madrid 2-0 Valencia

Rayo Vallecano vs Osasuna (Monday, 8pm)

Osasuna start the weekend in seventh spot in LaLiga with two wins from their four matches and they should overpower Rayo Vallecano, who lost back-to-back fixtures before the break.

Score prediction: Rayo Vallecano 0-1 Osasuna
