Hull KR -36.5 handicap

Hull KR continue to impress in Super League and they should have little problem putting a struggling London Broncos side to the sword when they meet at Craven Park on Friday night.

Winning 12 of their 18 games in the competition so far this season, the Robins find themselves in third position in the table behind only frontrunners Wigan Warriors and second-placed Warrington Wolves.

Sat just two points behind the Warriors, head coach Willie Peters and his side are in the mix for the League Leaders Shield; something this side would have only dreamed about before the start of the season.

Friday should be a regulation win against a Broncos side that have simply been unable to cut the mustard in Super League this season.

With just one win to their name all campaign, it looks set to be another long night for London when they face the Robins in their own backyard.

Team news

Hull KR will have to do without half-back Tyrone May after head complaints following Rovers’ win over Leeds Rhinos at Headingley last time out.

Publicidad

With Danny Richardson in on loan, the Castleford Tigers man looks set to fill the void left by May in the half-backs.

Elliot Minchella, Niall Evalds and James Batchelor have all had recent knocks but the trio are pushing for returns ahead of Friday’s game.

As for the Broncos, head coach Mike Eccles has made just one change from the 21-man squad that faced Leigh Leopards last time out.

James Meadows has dropped out due to injury, meaning Jenson Monk comes in for the trip north.

Mike Eccles has seen his London Broncos side win just once in Super League this season

The stats

Winning six of their last seven games, Hull KR are one of the form sides in Super League.

Publicidad

Hull KR winger Ryan Hall has made 2553 metres with ball in hand this season, with only Warrington Wolves star Matt Dufty recording more in the competition.

The last time these sides met was back in May, with Hull KR running out 64-14 winners in the capital.

London have the worst defensive record in Super League this season, conceding an unenviable 685 points in their 18 games, while only scoring 182, to leave them with a points difference of -503.

Prediction

Conceding an average of 38 points-per-game makes it incredibly hard to win matches in Super League, as the London Broncos know only too well.

By contrast, Hull KR are playing with a freedom in attack that means they can rack up the scoreboard once again on Friday night.

A one-sided affair is on the cards, so look to the hosts to cover the handicap in this one against a leaky Broncos defence.
