The second international break of the season is looming, but we have one more weekend full of exciting fixtures to look forward to before that domestic hiatus comes around.

Plenty of forwards have hit the ground running across the continent and we have picked out five to consider for goalscorer bets this weekend, focusing predominantly on players who shone last weekend or have great records against their opponents.

Back Serhou Guirassy to score at any time @ 9/5

After an exceptional season with Stuttgart in which he netted 28 goals in as many Bundesliga games, Serhou Guirassy has wasted no time in picking up where he left off by bagging six times in five matches for his new club Borussia Dortmund.

The Guinean marksman is the main goal threat for a side which loves to put teams to the sword — as shown by Dortmund’s 7-1 rout of Celtic in the week — and he looks a likely candidate to find the net against Union Berlin, who he scored against twice last term.

Back Kai Havertz to score at any time @ 27/25

Kai Havertz has been in fine scoring form for Arsenal

After two near misses, Arsenal are firmly in the hunt for the Premier League title once again and the form of Kai Havertz has removed any calls that they need to add a goalscorer to achieve that.

After scoring four goals in his final five games of last season, Havertz has netted four in eight this term, bagging in each of his last three outings.

Facing a Southampton side who are yet to keep a clean sheet this term, he should get plenty of chances to net at the Emirates.

Back Liam Delap to score at any time @ 16/5

The Julen Lopetegui era at West Ham has been pretty disastrous so far and their inability to adapt to his style has left them looking extremely open at the back, most notably in the 3-0 loss to Chelsea when Nicolas Jackson found himself in behind time and time again.

Liam Delap showed his ability in stretching defences when causing a usually resolute Aston Villa backline all sorts of problems last Sunday and notching a deserved two goals for his hard work.

The Ipswich forward has looked the Tractor Boys’ biggest goal threat all season and he is a big price to punish a sorry Hammers defence on Saturday.

Back Dwight McNeil to score at any time @ 4/1

Everton stopped the rot with a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace last Saturday thanks to two brilliant Dwight McNeil strikes and the Toffees winger could shine again this weekend.

Newcastle will be a tough nut to crack, as Manchester City found out last weekend when netting just once, but the Magpies’ sole clean sheet in their last 11 Premier League games came against Southampton.

Eddie Howe’s men are far from bulletproof and McNeil could continue his fine form by notching against Newcastle, just as he did in this fixture last season.

Back Rodrygo to score at any time @ 31/20

Due to the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, the talent of Vinicius Junior and the star power of Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo’s performances for Real Madrid tend to go under the radar, but he has quietly enjoyed a strong start to the season.

The Brazilian has netted three goals in LaLiga, with two of those coming in Madrid’s last three league matches and he is a fairly big price to score against Villarreal, who he bagged against in this fixture last term.
