There is a busy schedule of football action across Europe this weekend as the continent's attacking talents aim to inspire their teams to victory.

We have picked out five goalscorers to watch out for in Saturday and Sunday's top-flight fixtures from England, France, Germany and Spain.

Aston Villa have a Champions League clash with Bayern Munich to look forward to next week but their immediate focus is on picking up another three points on Sunday's Premier League trip to Ipswich.

Villa have won four of their first five matches and are favourites to beat promoted Ipswich, who conceded six goals in defeats to Liverpool and Manchester City.

The Tractor Boys may struggle to keep Villa forward Morgan Rogers quiet at Portman Road.

The youngster is yet to score in the league this season, although he averages 1.8 shots per game and notched 10 times in just 27 starts for Villa and Middlesbrough last term.

Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes exploited Tottenham's vulnerability from set-pieces to score the only goal of this month's Premier League north-London derby.

Manchester United host Spurs on Sunday and Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt will be one of the Red Devils' main aerial targets from corners and free-kicks.

Gabriel's header was the 13th goal Tottenham have conceded from a corner in 2024 and De Ligt, who scored in United's win at Southampton and had three shots in the 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace last time out, could add to that tally.

Monaco have made a bright start in Ligue 1 and their forwards should be too slick for Montpellier, who have shipped 15 goals in five league matches this season.

After an injury-hit 2023-24 campaign, Monaco winger Eliesse Ben Seghir has hit the ground running, scoring in the wins against Le Havre and Lyon, in which the teenager had six shots in 77 minutes.

Ben Seghir is averaging 3.2 attempts per game in the French top flight in 2024-25 and also had a couple of efforts – one of them on target – in the Champions League victory over Barcelona.

Bayern Munich's Bundesliga clash with German champions Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday is one of the biggest games in Europe this weekend and it may well live up to the hype.

Leverkusen's first four matches of their title defence all featured over 4.5 goals and they thrashed hosts Feyenoord 4-0 in their Champions League opener.

They are certainly capable of breaching Bayern's defence and Florian Wirtz, who has scored four goals in four Bundesliga games for Leverkusen, is a tempting price to find the net.

The brilliant young Germany international is likely to be on penalty-taking duty for the visitors and he scored twice in the Champions League win against Feyenoord.

Barcelona have won all seven LaLiga gamses and winger Raphinha is a real goal threat

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is likely to miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury but the Catalans have no such worries at the other end of the pitch.

They are bidding to make it eight wins out of eight in La Liga when they travel to Osasuna, who have kept only two clean sheets in their last 15 league games.

Barca have goal threats all over the pitch but Brazil winger Raphinha is worth backing to open the scoring.

He has scored five times in his last four league outings and finished last season strongly, breaking the deadlock in both legs of the Champions League quarter-final tie against Paris Saint-Germain.
