The European Championship quarter-final line-up moves a step closer to completion tonight with Spain and France both in action.

Luis Enrique's men tackle Croatia at 5pm, while the world champions take on Switzerland in an 8pm kick-off.

And we have rounded up the latest transfer rumours surrounding some of the players involved in those crunch clashes for you to get stuck into.

Real eye Mbappe

France forward Kylian Mbappe is one of just two players on Real Madrid's radar this summer — along with Borussia Dortmind sensation Erling Haaland.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward has long been linked with a move to the Bernabeu.

After failing to make any major signings last summer, Real are expected to splash the cash as they overhaul an ageing squad.

Neither Mbappe, 22, or Haaland, 20, would come cheap but Los Blancos clearly mean business ahead of the new season.

Llorente happy at Atleti

Marcos Llorente looks set to remain with Atletico Madrid

Spain star Marcos Llorente has ruled out the possibility of leaving Atletico Madrid this summer.

He said: "I have many years left [on my contract]. My idea is to stay. I'm fine, I'm happy at Atletico Madrid

"There were conversations a long time ago, it is true. But nothing happened and the negotiation was not completed. I have no problem."

Llorente, 26, was pivotal to Atletico’s LaLiga title win last season, with 23 goal involvements in 37 appearances.

The midfielder has previously been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United, with the latter reportedly making a £68million offer last month.

Lazio’s Shaq attack

Switzerland's Xherdan Shaqiri (right) celebrates his goal against Turkey

Switzerland attacker Xherdan Shaqiri is wanted by Lazio.

Premier League fans were reminded of Shaqiri’s quality after his brace in Switzerland’s 3-1 victory over Turkey.

Having made only 10 starts for Liverpool over the course of the last two seasons, the Serie A side are keen to sign the 29-year-old.

Liverpool are looking to recoup the £13m they paid Stoke in 2018.

The gap Shaqiri will leave within the squad is set to be filled by Harvey Elliott, who impressed while on loan at Blackburn last season and is expected to have a big future on Merseyside.

Giroud deal close

France striker Olivier Giroud looks to be close to joining AC Milan.

The forward has been a bit-part player in France’s European Championship campaign so far, which is in stark contrast to his leading role in the 2018 World Cup success and run to the Euro 2016 final.

Giroud's lack of game time is due to Karim Benzema's return.

The veteran striker's fate at Euro 2020 mirrors his last two seasons at Chelsea. Tammy Abraham was preferred by Frank Lampard in 2019-20 and the signing of Timo Werner pushed him further down the pecking order last season.

But Milan are keen to snap up Giroud, 34, on a free after agreeing personal terms.

Car chase

West Ham have renewed their interest in Croatian centre-back Duje Caleta-Car.

The defender, 24, started all three of Croatia’s Group D games, including the 1-0 defeat to England.

The Hammers reportedly had a bid for the defender rejected by Marseille last October. But due to the MediaPro TV deal breaking down in France, the Ligue 1 side are preparing to sell to generate cash.
