Christian Pulisic appeared to dampen speculation about his future after netting in Chelsea's 3-0 win at Leeds last night.

The United States international's dad Mark took to Twitter earlier this month to suggest his son was unhappy with a lack of game time under Thomas Tuchel and could push for a move this summer.

He later deleted the tweet and Tuchel included Pulisic, 23, in the starting line-up for last weekend's disappointing 2-2 draw with Wolves before keeping him in the side for the trip to Elland Road.

And with attention now turning to the FA Cup final against Liverpool on Saturday, the attacker admits every Chelsea player is fully aware of the fierce competition for places.

He said: "It is always intense in this team. We have a lot of depth, which is only a good thing.

"We are going to need everyone in the remaining games, especially in the final.

"We are always competing against each other. You always want to play well and perform and give yourself a good chance of starting the next match — not just because of the final."

With Mason Mount's fine strike opening the scoring after four minutes at Leeds, Pulisic added the second 10 minutes after the break and Romelu Lukaku weighed in seven minutes from time with his third goal in two games.

Christian Pulisic knows competition for places in Thomas Tuchel's star-studded side will always be fierce

The £97.5million striker has endured a frustrating campaign and it is easy to draw comparisons with Pulisic in terms of injury issues and time spent on the sidelines.

But like boss Tuchel, Pulisic has every faith in his team-mate and is confident he will continue finding the net.

He added: "It is what Rom does, he scores goals. He’s a great player and it is good to see him in form now."

With two home games against Leicester and Watford to come after the FA Cup final, last night's win put Chelsea firmly in control of their own destiny in the Premier League's top four.

And Pulisic is confident the Blues can hold on to third place. He said: "We dropped a couple of points [against Wolves] and were not happy at all.

"But we always try and stay positive and look forward to our next game. We are in a really good spot, we can control our own destiny, so now we need to continue and go on to get result after result."
