The Championship is starting to take shape with all 24 teams having now played six matches and there are some big fixtures in store this weekend.

Title favourites Leeds host Coventry at Elland Road while unbeaten league leaders West Brom travel to struggling Sheffield Wednesday and Watford entertain second-placed Sunderland.

The action gets underway with Plymouth at home to Luton on Friday, before 10 games on Saturday, and the action is rounded off by Swansea against Bristol City.

We look at all 12 games and have provided a score prediction for each.

Plymouth vs Luton (Friday, 8pm)

Luton have claimed back-to-back Championship wins over Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday and they can make it three on the trot at Plymouth, who have lost three of their last four games in all competitions to nil.

Score prediction: Plymouth 0-2 Luton

Blackburn vs QPR (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Blackburn have started the season impressively, winning all three home league games against Derby, Oxford and Bristol City, and they can maintain that perfect record at Ewood Park.

QPR have shown promise but remain without a clean sheet and have won only one of their opening six league fixtures.

Score prediction: Blackburn 2-1 QPR

Derby vs Norwich (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Home fixtures may prove vital for Derby in the Championship and they can make it four wins from four at Pride Park against an inconsistent Norwich outfit, who have already lost to nil away at Oxford and Swansea.

Publicidad

The Rams have kept clean sheets in each of those home wins over Middlesbrough, Bristol City and Cardiff.

Score prediction: Derby 1-0 Norwich

Sheffield Wednesday vs West Brom (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Early pace-setters West Brom are the only Championship team with a perfect away record and they can pick up another three points when travelling to Sheffield Wednesday, who have not won in five league fixtures.

Score prediction: Sheffield Wednesday 0-2 West Brom

Hull vs Cardiff (Saturday, 3pm)

Tim Walter will be hoping for back-to-back victories at home to Cardiff

Hull should be in high spirits after last Friday's 3-1 victory at Stoke and they can follow up by beating managerless Cardiff.

The Bluebirds are rock-bottom with one point from six games and have netted only once.

Score prediction: Hull 2-0 Cardiff

Leeds vs Coventry (Saturday, 3pm)

Leeds are starting to gather pace, with three wins in their last four league games, and they should have too many weapons for a Coventry side that are without a win in four.

Publicidad

That said, the Sky Blues have failed to score only once in five league outings and do have a wealth of attacking options.

Score prediction: Leeds 2-1 Coventry

Middlesbrough vs Stoke (Saturday, 3pm)

Middlesbrough are better than their current Championship position implies - they top the second-tier shot stats - and they should comfortably see off a Stoke side that have lost four of their last five league fixtures.

Score prediction: Middlesbrough 3-1 Stoke

Millwall vs Preston (Saturday, 3pm)

Preston have drawn their last two Championship matches with Middlesbrough and Blackburn and they can hold Millwall to a point at the Den. The Lions have drawn two of their last four and tend to be embroiled in low-scoring games.

Score prediction: Millwall 1-1 Preston

Oxford vs Burnley (Saturday, 3pm)

Burnley are back on track following consecutive league wins over Leeds and Portsmouth and they should have a little too much quality for Oxford, who were beaten 2-1 at Bristol City last time out.

Score prediction: Oxford 1-2 Burnley

Portsmouth vs Sheffield United (Saturday, 3pm)

Chris Wilder's Sheffield United are yet to lose a league match this season

Sheffield United are on a three-game winning streak and the defensively-minded Blades should have too much quality for Portsmouth, who are still searching for their first victory.

Publicidad

Score prediction: Portsmouth 0-2 Sheffield United

Watford vs Sunderland (Saturday, 3pm)

Sunderland sit second in the early-season Championship standings but this looks a tough trip to Watford, who are unbeaten in nine home games in all competitions. A point apiece may suit both parties.

Score prediction: Watford 1-1 Sunderland

Swansea vs Bristol City (Sunday, 3pm)

Swansea have risen to seventh after back-to-back wins over Norwich and Coventry and they can maintain their strong start at home to Bristol City, who have taken only one point from three away games.

Score prediction: Swansea 2-0 Bristol City
