- Borussia Dortmund already seven points behind the leaders
- Holstein Kiel and Bochum yet to win a league match this season
- RB Leipzig the form side in the Bundesliga with four wins from their last five

There are a number of tantalising encounters in store this weekend, with RB Leipzig’s trip to Borussia Dortmund the undoubted highlight, while Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich will be hoping to overcome fourth-placed Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Stuttgart (Friday, 7.30pm)

Reigning champions Leverkusen are on a 10-match unbeaten streak in all competitions and should be too strong for Stuttgart on Friday night.

Die Roten have won just one of their last four in the league, although the talents of Deniz Undav and Ermedin Demirovic should see the visitors find the net.

Score prediction: 2-1

Bayern Munich vs Union Berlin (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Bayern remain unbeaten in the Bundesliga this season and will be expected to make home advantage count against a Union side that has failed to score in each of their last three visits to the Allianz Arena.

Score prediction: 3-0

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Bochum (Saturday, 2.30pm)

With one point and a -15 goal difference from eight games, Bochum’s start to the campaign has not been one to remember and their misery may continue against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

The Eagles are unbeaten at Deutsche Bank Park this season and held Bayern to a thrilling 3-3 draw in their last home league fixture.

Score prediction: 3-0

Hoffenheim vs St. Pauli (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Hoffenheim have won just one of their last three home league matches and could be made to work by a St. Pauli side who have run RB Leipzig and Dortmund close on the road in recent weeks.

Three of St. Pauli’s five points this season have come away from home and all five goals that they have scored have also come on their travels.

Score prediction: 1-1

Holstein Kiel vs Heidenheim (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Both Kiel and Heidenheim make up two of the three Bundesliga sides in the worst run of form over the last five matches and a match bereft of quality could be in store.

The hosts will, however, see this as a big chance to claim their first league win of the season against a side that has failed to score in two of their last three matches.

Score prediction: 1-0

Wolfsburg vs Augsburg (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Wolfsburg edged past Dortmund in extra-time of their DFB-Pokal meeting on Tuesday and can follow this up with another home win over an Augsburg side struggling on the road.

Jess Thorup’s men have lost each of their last three away matches, scoring just once in the process.

Nuri Sahin's BVB will hope to end RB Leipzig's unbeaten start to the domestic season

Borussia Dortmund vs RB Leipzig (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Leipzig partner Bayern at the Bundesliga summit, although their unbeaten start may come to an end against a Dortmund outfit that has been dominant at the Signal Iduna Park.

Dortmund have won all five home matches this season in all competitions, scoring 19 goals in the process, but their defensive frailties should allow the visitors some joy in a thriller.

Score prediction: 3-2

Freiburg vs Mainz (Sunday, 2.30pm)

Two sides in decent form heading into the weekend meet on Sunday and there may be little to separate Freiburg and Mainz.

The hosts have won two of their three home matches in the league, while Mainz are unbeaten on the road this season.

Score prediction: 2-2

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Werder Bremen (Sunday, 4.30pm)

With Borussia Monchengladbach winning their last two home league fixtures and Werder Bremen victorious in their last three away in the Bundesliga, a score draw in this meeting looks a real possibility.
