Sergio Ramos scored an own goal to give his old rivals Barcelona a narrow 1-0 victory in LaLiga.

The 37-year-old, back in Spain after a spell with Paris Saint-Germain, put Lamine Yamal's header past his own keeper.

Barcelona did deserve the win as they created plenty of chances against a stubborn Sevilla side, with Joao Felix firing a shot off the crossbar in the first half

The only downside for Blaugrana on a night that took them back to the top of LaLiga was that they lost Raphinha to a hamstring injury.

Xavi's side will now turn their focus to the Champions League as they face Porto on Wednesday.

Sevilla did not have not any representatives in the VIP box in protest amid the corruption case surrounding Barcelona.

Blaugrana face charges over payments made to Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira in return for favourable decisions from referees.

The Spanish Civil Guard searched the headquarters of the Spanish Technical Committee of Referees on Thursday.

A Sevilla statement said: "We express our complete outrage and condemnation of the actions carried out by the former officials of FC Barcelona who are indicted in the Negreira case, actions that are allegedly considered criminal by the Court of Instruction of Barcelona, as stated in the court order disseminated in the media."

Barcelona issued a statement in reply, stating Sevilla's actions were  "an attack against the Catalan institution and an unacceptable offence".
