Qualifying for the 2024-25 Champions League continues on Wednesday with seven second-round ties being completed with the second legs.

FC Midtjylland vs UE Santa Coloma (Wednesday, 6.15pm)

The stats

Danish champions FC Midtjylland have one foot in the next round after recording a 3-0 win in the first leg in Andorra.

Thomas Thomasberg's side barely had to break a sweat as they extended their unbeaten run in competitive fixtures to eight matches.

Midtjylland have yet to win from their opening two games of the new Superliga season, but they are unbeaten in four at home.

Santa Coloma have lost two of their last three, with both defeats coming in the Champions League.

The Andorran outfit are unbeaten on the road since April 2023.

Prediction

Santa Coloma's away record is exemplary, but they will do not usually play a team of Midtjylland's class on a regular basis.

Thomasberg's men have started slowly in the league, so he will look to use Wednesday's tie to try and build some momentum.

Santa Coloma have only won once in Europe in their history and that lack of experience will be apparent.

Partizan Belgrade vs Dynamo Kyiv (Wednesday, 7pm)

The stats

Partizan have a four-goal deficit to reverse after a horrid display in the first leg, as they went down 6-2 to Dynamo Kyiv.

The hosts have won two from two in the Serbian SuperLiga, but they have been far from convincing at home, conceding seven in their last four games.

Dynamo Kyiv have scored plenty of goals in pre-season and carried that on when they thumped Partizan in the first leg.

Prediction

Aleksandar Stanojevic's Partizan Belgrade have it all to do in the second leg.
Aleksandar Stanojevic's Partizan Belgrade have it all to do in the second leg.

Dynamo Kyiv will expect Partizan to throw everything at them on Wednesday. The hosts need to score early to try and force Dynamo Kyiv out of their gameplan, but the safe bet should be in the overs market.

An incredible eight goals were scored last week in the first leg, and Dynamo Kyiv have already proven they can outclass Partizan. If the hosts fly out of the blocks, expect the Ukrainian outfit to pick them off in what should be another high-scoring game.
