Transfer Talk: Man Utd could Pav a new defender in Benjamin
Manchester United could move for Bayern Munich star Benjamin Pavard before the transfer window slams shut.
The Red Devils look set to lose former captain Harry Maguire after the club reportedly agreed a deal with West Ham yesterday.
Defensive reinforcements may now be required and 2018 World Cup winner Pavard could be the right man for Erik ten Hag's side.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims the France international, 27, is open to leaving Bayern and would love to experience Premier League football with United.
Ten Hag is weighing up which defender the club should pursue with Bayer Leverkusen's Edmond Tapsoba and Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo also in the running.
But Pavard is perhaps the pick of the three as he can operate at both centre-back and right-back to a high level.
The ex-Stuttgart ace joined Bayern in January 2019. He has made 162 appearances for the Bavarian outfit and won 11 trophies, including the Champions League in 2019-20.
Pavard has also represented France 49 times and a move to United would see him reunited with compatriot Raphael Varane.
