The transfer window has slammed shut until January but LiveScore's deadline day blog is here to fill you in on how it unfolded. 

English clubs had until 11pm BST to get deals over the line and some may yet be confirmed.

11.02pm - Hold on a minute

Crystal Palace have snapped up Rob Holding from Arsenal for an undisclosed fee. 

The 27-year-old defender, who has signed a three-year deal, said: "I'm excited to get started and get involved. 

"Playing against Crystal Palace the number of years I have, seeing the fans and how intimidating Selhurst Park can be, I'm looking forward to being on the right side of that this time!"

11.01pm - Spurs announce Johnson

As Big Ben began to chime, Tottenham confirmed the arrival of Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest. 

The attacker, 22, has signed a six-year deal. 

11pm - Done and dusted... sort of

The transfer window has officially closed in England until January — but some deals could still be announced.

10.37pm - In safe hands

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Odysseas Vlachodimos from Benfica.

The Greece keeper, who has signed a four-year deal, is Forest's fourth deadline day arrival. 

10.36pm - In the Hat

Albert Sambi Lokonga has completed his loan switch from Arsenal to Premier League newcomers Luton

The midfielder, 23, watched from the stands tonight as the Hatters lost 2-1 to high-flying West Ham. 

10.33pm - United seal Amrabat deal

Sofyan Amrabat has switched to Manchester United on loan from Fiorentina. 

United have an option to buy the Moroccan midfielder, 27, at the end of the season. 

10.30pm - The clock is ticking

English clubs only have another half-hour to wheel and deal before the transfer window slams shut until January. 

9.45pm - Cancelo switches to Barca

Joao Cancelo has joined Barcelona on loan from Treble winners Manchester City until the end of the season. 

The Portugal defender, 29, is believed to have taken a pay cut to secure his switch to the Camp Nou. 

9.43pm - Liverpool swoop

Ryan Gravenberch cannot wait to get going after joining Liverpool from Bayern Munich. 

The Ajax youth product, 21, said: "I'm very happy. Very happy that the deal is done and I'm finally here.

"If you see it from the outside, it's one of the biggest clubs in the world. Also the fans, the stadium, I think everything from the outside is top."

9.15pm - Watching brief

Albert Sambi Lokonga is watching Luton's match with West Ham from the stands at Kenilworth Road ahead of a loan switch from Arsenal. 

Belgium midfielder Lokonga, 23, came through Anderlecht's youth academy. 

9.12pm - Barca welcome a new face

Barcelona have taken Joao Felix on loan from LaLiga rivals Atletico Madrid. 

8.35pm - Kasper exits

Former Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel has parted company with Ligue 1 side Nice. 

8pm - Inter add touch of Klass

Davy Klaassen has switched to Inter Milan from Ajax

Davy Klaassen has signed a two-year deal with Inter Milan after waving goodbye to Ajax. 

Klaassen, 30, said: "I'm a complete player who can help the team in attack and defence. 

"I'm here because I want to win a lot of trophies."

7.48pm - Jovic heads to Milan

AC Milan have landed Serbia striker Luka Jovic from Fiorentina. 

Jovic spent one season in Florence, scoring 13 goals in 50 appearances, after a three-year spell at Real Madrid.

7.35pm - Lozano rejoins PSV

PSV Eindhoven have re-signed Hirving Lozano from Napoli. 

The Mexico international, 28, left the Eredivisie club for Naples in 2019. 

7.25pm - Barca make a move

Barcelona have verbally agreed a deal with Atletico Madrid to sign Joao Felix on loan. 

The attacker, 23, spent the second half of last season with Chelsea. 

6pm - Hudson-Odoi joins Forest

Callum Hudson-Odoi is hoping to kick-start his career after leaving Chelsea for Nottingham Forest

The 22-year-old England winger, who has signed a two-year deal, said: "It's massive for me to be here and I can't wait to get started. It's a new chapter for me."

5.30pm - Evans signs on

Jonny Evans has returned to former club Manchester United on a one-year deal. 

Evans, 35, impressed Erik ten Hag while on a short-term contract and the centre-back has been kept on. 

He has been a free agent since leaving Leicester earlier this summer. 

5pm - Forest land Dominguez

Nottingham Forest have signed midfielder Nicolas Dominguez from Bologna. 

Remo Freuler has moved in the opposite direction in what is a straight swap deal between the two clubs. 

4.32pm - Black Cats land Burstow

Chelsea starlet Mason Burstow has joined Sunderland on a season-long loan. 

The 20-year-old forward, who has made three appearances for the Blues this term, said: "I'm buzzing to be here — it's a huge club with a great head coach and big expectations. 

"I'm here to bring goals to the team and keep supporters on the edge of their seats. I can't wait to walk out at the Stadium of Light for the first time."

4.05pm - United confirm Reguilon

After Erik ten Hag let the cat out of the bag earlier today, Manchester United have confirmed the arrival of Sergio Reguilon on loan. 

The left-back, who did not feature in any of Tottenham's opening four games of the season, said: "In life you have to be ready for everything.

"The chance to represent this great club with such an illustrious history is one that I could not turn down."

3.40pm - McAtee joins Blades

Manchester City midfielder James McAtee has signed for Sheffield United on loan.

McAtee, 20, spent last season at Bramall Lane and becomes the club's 10th summer signing.

3.15pm - Gunners done in window

Mikel Arteta does not expect any more new faces to join Arsenal before the window closes. 

The Gunners boss said: "I don't expect anybody to come in. We've done quite a lot and had a bit of uncertainty with some players as well, so we had to be very cautious and find alternatives. 

"Sometimes you want to do everything that is needed but sometimes it's not possible and we have to adapt."

2.55pm - Johnson set for Spurs

A fee has been agreed and the attacker is on his way to London to undergo a medical. 

2.45pm - Bees want Maupay

The Palace boss said: "We're working on the basis that you can't have too many quality players in your squad. 

"If he was available, and it's a deal that is doable, I'd be very happy to work with him."

1.30pm - Ten Hag welcomes Reguilon

Erik ten Hag has confirmed Sergio Reguilon will be available to face Arsenal on Sunday as Manchester United prepare to announce the arrival of the Tottenham defender on loan. 

The United boss said: "Reguilon is here, he trained. He's very experienced, played for big clubs, played a lot of games in LaLiga and the Premier League."

1.10pm - Seagulls swoop for Fati

Ansu Fati will play for Brighton until the end of the season after joining on loan from Barcelona. 

Seagulls boss Roberto De Zerbi said: "This is a great deal for all of us. 

"I am sure Ansu will help us to reach a new target and we can help him get back at the level he deserves to be."

12.50pm - Poch happy with Conor

Mauricio Pochettino is keen to keep Tottenham target Conor Gallagher but admits the midfielder's future could be out of his hands. 

The Blues boss said: "Conor is a consistent player who can perform in different positions. We are so happy with him. 

"Conor is showing great commitment to the club. He was captain two days ago against Wimbledon. 

"He is an important player for us but what is going to happen in the future, I don't know."

The midfielder, 27, is expected to come through his medical without any problems. 

11.45am - Lenglet joins Villa

Clement Lenglet has joined Aston Villa on a season-long loan from Barcelona. 

Lenglet, 28, will provide cover for Tyrone Mings, who picked up a long-term injury on the opening weekend of the season. 

11.05am - Palhinha set for Bayern?

Joao Palhinha has been granted permission by Fulham to fly to Germany ahead of a proposed move to Bayern Munich

A deal has yet to be struck and the Cottagers need to secure a replacement for the midfielder. 

10.30am - City sign Nunes

Manchester City have completed their swoop for Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes

The Portugal international, 25, said: "I'm so happy to be joining City, the champions of Europe and a club I've admired for a long time."

10.10am - Addicks get a freebie

Charlton have signed free agent Tennai Watson.

The versatile 26-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the Addicks. 

10am - Tavares joins Forest

Nuno Tavares has joined Nottingham Forest on loan from Arsenal.

Forest have an option to buy the defender, 23, at the end of the season. 

9.30am - Chelsea swoop for Cole

Chelsea have snapped up Manchester City starlet Cole Palmer on a seven-year contract. 

Cole, who could see his deal extended by a further 12 months, said: "I've joined Chelsea because the project here sounds good and because of the platform I will have to try to showcase my talents."

9am - United in safe hands

8.15am - Klaassen set for Inter

According to Fabrizio Romano, Davy Klaassen is close to joining Inter Milan from Ajax. 

The Italian giants are ready to hand the former Everton midfielder, 30, a two-year deal. 

7.45am - Hudson-Odoi on the move

Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to undergo a medical at Nottingham Forest as he edges towards leaving Chelsea. 

The England winger, 22, is keen on a new challenge after being left out of Mauricio Pochettino's plans this season. 

7.40am - When do windows close around Europe?

Teams in England and Spain have until 11pm BST to conclude their business. 

The window closes in France at 10pm but clubs in Italy only have until 7pm, while those in Germany must wrap up any signings by 5pm. 

Sides in Saudi Arabia have time to play with as their transfer window remains open until September 7.
