Tranmere came from behind to beat Bromley 2-1 at Prenton Park and give themselves a lifeline in their battle to avoid relegation from League Two.
Josh Hawkes cancelled out Michael Cheek’s opener before Omari Patrick grabbed a second-half winner to end a run of 12 games without a win for the home side.
The visitors went ahead after 27 minutes when Cheek steered the ball home from a Brooklyn Ilunga cross for his 17th goal of the season.
Kristian Dennis almost levelled moments later, but his shot from the edge of the box flew just wide of Grant Smith’s post.
Rovers were on terms just after the half-hour mark when Hawkes was on the spot to fire home from 10 yards out.
The home side started brightly after the break as Hawkes and Regan Hendry both came close to grabbing a second.
And with 20 minutes left on the clock, Patrick side-footed home from the edge of the area to give the home side a vital victory that moves them four points clear of the drop zone.
