It is the final card of the season at Pontefract.

The EBF Silver Tankard Stakes, a Listed contest for two-year-olds, is the feature race and we have picked five horses for you to follow.

1.15pm - Northern Commercials Iveco And Flat Restricted Novice Stakes (6f)

In what was his second start of his career, MANILA SCOUSE stepped up on a moderate debut to finish second of nine runners at Chester (5f), denied an opening success by just a head in that sprint contest.

Tim Easterby's runner was staying on strongly at the finish on his latest outing so this step up in distance should suit him, he is the one to beat.

2.20pm - British Stallion Studs EBF Silver Tankard Stakes (1m - Listed)

There are some exciting two-year-olds in this Listed race, the majority of which will have their final run of the season here before a break over the winter.

WESTOVER does have an entry in the Vertem Futurity Trophy at Doncaster later this month, his connections will be hoping he can add another victory to his record before tackling that Group One contest.

The son of Frankel looked smart when winning on his debut at Sandown (1m) and had to settle for second place on his latest appearance at Newbury (1m), but he looks to be a horse who has a huge future.

2.55pm - Phil Bull Trophy Conditions Stakes (2m2f)

HERE AND NOW made his first appearance in 11 months when he returned to action at Salisbury (1m6f) last month.

He was entitled to need that run and he should come on for it in this latest outing.

Ralph Beckett's gelding does not have too much mileage on the clock for his age, prevailing over an extended 2m trip, so he should not have any issues with this staying distance.

The seven-year-old has just four rivals to beat so it's a good opportunity for him.

3.30pm - Allen Hinchcliffe Memorial Handicap (1m2f)

Hughie Morrison's Thunderclap looking for first win on turf
Hughie Morrison's Thunderclap looking for first win on turf

Both of THUNDERCLAP's two career wins have come on the AW, so he still has something prove on turf.

Hughie Morrison's runner finished third of 13 at this course over 1m after being held up in the early stages of that race, doing his best work in the closing stages.

Expect this new distance to suit him. The three-year-old remains off a workable mark so his opening turf success may come in this handicap contest.

4.40pm - Steve Lumb Quest For The Cheapest Pint Handicap (6f)

YUKON MISSION broke her maiden on her penultimate outing at Carlisle (5f), taking her 19 starts to record that opening win.

She finished midfield in a large field at Ayr (5f) on her follow up attempt, where the ground may just have been too fast for her.

The Kodic filly will appreciate a little juice in the ground in this race here, she may not have to wait any longer to double her tally.

LiveScore selection: Yukon Mission
