Ben Wiles and David Kasumu were on target as Huddersfield halted a four-match losing run with a late 2–0 League One victory against manager Michael Duff’s former club Barnsley.

Huddersfield dominated the first half but were unable to make a breakthrough, with Callum Marshall having a backwards header turned wide by Gabriel Slonina.

Bojan Radulovic did well to get onto a bouncing ball in the Barnsley box soon after the break, but his dink over Slonina landed on the roof of the net.

Davis Keillor-Dunn had the two best openings of a brief Barnsley rally, dragging a shot wide at the end of a counter-attack and later blazing over the crossbar after doing well to juggle the ball into the box.

The hosts came good late on, however with former Tyke Herbie Kane getting up the right and squaring the ball across the edge of the box for Wiles to pick out the top corner.

Kasumu then scored a rare goal in the final minute of added time, catching Slonina out of position with a 25-yard strike to the bottom corner to seal maximum points.
