Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool exit at the end of the season could mean big changes at Anfield.

With assistants Pep Lijnders, Peter Krawietz and Vitor Matos set to follow their manager out of the door, there will also be concern about some potential player departures.

Several key stars are out of contract in 2025 — and uncertainty surrounding the club's next boss may see heads get turned.

Ahead of Liverpool's clash with Arsenal, we look at the players who could follow Klopp out of Merseyside.

Virgil van Dijk

Virgil van Dijk's comments shortly after Klopp's announcement led to a wave of speculation.

The Dutch defender said he "didn't know" if he would be at the club beyond the end of this season, although he later insisted he intends to stay.

Van Dijk said: "To be 100% clear, I'm fully committed to the club. I love the club. I love the fans.

"It's not about me. It's about us and nothing has changed. Five days ago we weren't even speaking about my contract, so it's silly."

Even so, the centre-back is out of contract in 18 months and will be 33 this summer.

There has been no drop-off in his performance levels, though.

No Liverpool player has made more interceptions (26), won more aerial duels (87) or completed more passes (1,375) in the Premier League this season.

The Reds' captain remains influential — but with Jarell Quansah emerging as an exciting prospect in defence, Liverpool do at least have a potential successor.

Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah has scored 18 goals in all competitions this season and is an irreplaceable figure in attack.

But he is also out of contract in 18 months, with no news of an extension.

The 31-year-old's future will likely be a big talking point in the summer given last year's reported interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.

With Klopp gone and Liverpool set for a transitional period, Salah might feel the time is right to bid farewell and move on to pastures new.

The Reds have at least proved they can cope without their talismanic forward.

Their form has continued to be excellent in his absence at the Africa Cup of Nations — during which he picked up an injury — and they were superb in a 4-1 victory over Chelsea last time out.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

Perhaps the most worrying potential departure is that of Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Unlike Van Dijk and Salah, the 25-year-old is in his prime and has years left at the very top of his game.

He has been exceptional this season, operating in an inverted full-back role — ranking first at the club for chances created (50) and completed crosses (36) in the Premier League.

With his contract up in 2025, however, there have been suggestions that Klopp's exit could be the catalyst for a move away.

If that does happen, Liverpool fans will at least be consoled by the emergence of 20-year-old Conor Bradley, who has scored once and provided five assists in his last five appearances.

But fans will hope that Alexander-Arnold opts to stay long after Klopp has said his goodbyes.
