Harry Kane is once again the subject of transfer speculation as the England captain enters the final year of his Tottenham contract.

The No10, who celebrated his 30th birthday in July, enjoyed a historic season with the North Londoners, becoming their all-time top goalscorer and bagging 30 strikes in a Premier League campaign for the second time in his career.

But without European football to look forward to, Kane may now be considering his future for a second time having failed to push through a move to Manchester City in 2021.

Bayern Munich are the current frontrunners but they will have a hard time convincing chairman Daniel Levy to release his star man.

August 11: Medical pending

Kane is on standby as he prepares to fly to Munich and complete his medical before the weekend.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has reported that the 30-year-old will sign a four-year deal with Bayern and could be in the squad to face RB Leipzig on Saturday.

It will bring an end to Kane's 18-year stay at his boyhood club and the Bundesliga champions look set to finally get their man.

Bayern have agreed a deal in principle to sign Kane from Tottenham.

Reports have suggested that Kane had been preparing to stay in North London but things could now accelerate after Daniel Levy accepted the latest offer for his talisman.

The BBC report that the deal will be worth more than £86million despite the Spurs chairman originally holding out for a fee worth nearly £100m.

August 9: One last try

Bayern are set to launch a last-ditch bid for Kane in an effort to bring him to Germany before the Bundesliga season starts.

Reports from The Times suggest that the England skipper is planning on staying in North London if he plays against Brentford in the Premier League on Sunday.

But the Bavarian side are keen to make a fourth offer for the Spurs talisman after falling short with their previous bid of £86m.

Tottenham have rejected Bayern Munich's 'final' offer for Harry Kane, according to Sky Sports.

The German champions offered a package worth over €100m and were hoping for a quick response from the North London club but were made to wait before seeing their bid hit back.

Bayern officials had made it clear that this was their final offer for the 30-year-old and they may now turn their attention elsewhere ahead of their Supercup clash with RB Leipzig on Saturday.
