Bournemouth have beaten Arsenal and Manchester City in recent weeks so the Cherries should be confident of earning at least a share of the points when they travel to Brentford on Saturday.

Those two victories over last season's top two in the Premier League both came at home, but Bournemouth also look capable of picking up a good result on the road when they take on a Brentford outfit that has won four and drawn one in the league at the GTech Community Stadium.

Team news

Igor Thiago and Josh Dasilva will definitely be sidelined for the hosts, who are also set to be without injured trio Aaron Hickey, Rico Henry and Gustavo Nunes.

Kristoffer Ajer, however, could be ready to return for Thomas Frank's side for the visit of the Cherries.

Bournemouth's Alex Scott is still at least a month away from his comeback, while Saturday's game is expected to come too soon for Kepa Arrizabalaga and Luis Sinisterra.

Dango Ouattara is a doubt and will be assessed ahead of the game.

The stats

Brentford are unbeaten at home in the league this season, winning four times and drawing once.

The Bees have failed to keep a clean sheet at home yet this season.

Bournemouth have beaten last season's top two — Manchester City and Arsenal — and drawn with Aston Villa, who finished fourth last term, in their previous three outings.

Last season, the league clash between the two sides at the GTech Community Stadium ended in a 2-2 draw.

Prediction

While Bournemouth go into Saturday's clash on a high following their 2-1 win over champions Manchester City, the mood at Brentford is likely to be contrasting after their late 2-1 defeat at local rivals Fulham on Monday.

The Bees were minutes away from a 1-0 win but two Harry Wilson goals turned the game on its head and now Frank must try and pick his side up to face the Cherries.

Brentford have been excellent at home for much of the season, beating Crystal Palace, Southampton, Wolves and Ipswich, while West Ham are the only side to leave the GTech with anything in a 1-1 draw at the end of September.

Bournemouth have enjoyed some memorable away trips already this season, notably when coming from 2-0 down to beat Everton 3-2 and they were seconds away from winning at top-four hopefuls Aston Villa last month too before conceding a late equaliser.

Brentford's home form is very strong and while they will be determined to get the Fulham defeat out of their system, they may have to settle for a point.
