Aston Villa vs Legia Warsaw predictions: Hosts should shine at Villa Park fortress
- Aston Villa have won 16 of their last 17 league and cup home matches
- Both teams have scored in eight of Legia Warsaw's 10 matches in this season's Conference League
- Recommended bet: Aston Villa to win 3-1 at 15/2
Aston Villa moved into the Premier League's top four thanks to their 2-1 weekend win at Tottenham and they are bidding to extend their fabulous run of form at home when they take on Legia Warsaw.
Unai Emery's men have won 16 of their last 17 league and cup games at Villa Park although they will not be taking anything for granted against their Polish opponents.
Legia shocked the pre-season Conference League favourites 3-2 on matchday one, when Albania striker Ernest Muci scored twice, and they are level on nine points with Villa at the top of Group E.
Team news
Aston Villa boss Emery could hand starts to Youri Tielemans, Leon Bailey and the fit-again Jacob Ramsey. Alex Moreno is also available but Tyrone Mings and Emiliano Buendia are long-term injury absentees.
Legia Warsaw centre-back Steve Kapuadi should return after serving a domestic suspension. Bartosz Kapustka and Filip Rejczyk have recovered from their injuries and could make the bench.
The stats

Five of Villa's six Conference League ties this season featured over 2.5 goals
Legia Warsaw have kept four clean sheets in their last five matches
Both teams have scored in eight of Legia's ten matches in this season's Conference League

Prediction
The opening clash between Aston Villa and Legia Warsaw was a cracker, with five goals scored in the first 51 minutes as Villa slipped to a surprise defeat in the Polish capital.
The Premier League side have won their three subsequent matches while Legia have been less impressive on the road, losing 1-0 away to 10-man AZ Alkmaar and coming from behind to win 2-1 at Zrinjski.
Everton, in the EFL Cup, are the only visitors to have prevented Villa winning in their last 17 home matches in all competitions.
Their last six wins were by 2-1, 3-1, 2-1, 3-1, 4-1 and 4-1 scorelines and, although Emery is likely to rest some of his first-team regulars, another entertaining victory is on the cards.
The 3-1 Villa win appeals in the correct-score market. Legia have been defensively solid in domestic competitions recently but they have conceded 10 times in their five European away trips this season.
