Premier League champions and Treble winners Manchester City have reportedly agreed terms with RB Leipzig youngster Josko Gvardiol.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that the colossal defender is happy with the terms being offered by City but the two clubs are yet to agree on a fee.

Leipzig want to make the young Croatian the most expensive defender in the world and would require around £100million to even consider letting go of their supreme talent.

Gvardiol, 21, played 41 times in all competitions for Die Roten Bullen last season and also led Croatia to the Nations League final.

He is already a 21-cap international and has a wise head on young shoulders, making him the perfect fit for Pep Guardiola's Etihad outfit.

Aymeric Laporte is said to be on his way out of Manchester and Gvardiol would arrive as a strong contender for a spot in the starting XI.

Only five players completed more passes than the two-time German Cup winner in the top flight last term, while only eight players had more touches.

The Zagreb-born ace is an expert in possession which would suit a City side who are used to dominating the ball.
