Harry Kane may not get his wish of Champions League football next season.

England's misfiring skipper, 27, has been strongly linked with a switch to Manchester City after revealing his desire to leave Tottenham this summer.

But according to the The Telegraph, City are unwilling to get drawn into a prolonged transfer saga.

And Kane could be priced out of a move due to Spurs valuing him at more than £120million.

Manchester United and Chelsea have also expressed an interest but City are keen to identify a replacement for the departed Sergio Aguero as soon as possible.

Ramos favours Paris switch

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are the frontrunners to sign former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos, according to Spanish outlet AS

Ramos, 35, is a free agent after a 16-year spell in the Spanish capital, having failed to agree a new contract with Real president Florentino Perez.

It was widely thought City would move for the experienced Spaniard but Pep Guardiola is reportedly happy with his options in central defence.

United are currently exploring a move for Real's Raphael Varane but a high valuation could scupper hopes of a deal.

And that has prompted them to turn to Ramos as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to find a reliable partner for Harry Maguire.

But the veteran centre-back is believed to favour a switch to Paris, where he would link up with Spanish-speaking boss Mauricio Pochettino.

While United may be put off by Varane's asking price, it appears PSG are willing to splash the cash to land the Real Madrid centre-back.
