There is Monday evening racing action from Yorkshire's garden track as Ripon hosts a six-race card from 5.55pm through until 8.25pm to kick-start another week.

There are some competitive handicaps feature on the card and the forecast is for 'good' ground.

We have selected five horses for you to follow.

6.25pm - Best Odds Guaranteed At ne-bet.com Nursery (6f)

An open-looking nursery in which ISLADAAY is taken to shine in the hands of Tom Marquand.

She shaped with promise in three maidens earlier in the year, including when going close at Beverley (5f, good to firm) in May, and was perhaps not seen to best effect in her recent handicap bow at Nottingham upped to this 6f trip.

Making up ground at that venue is not always straightforward and she was done no favours meeting traffic in attempting to do so.

Better things await and Marquand is an excellent jockey booking.

LiveScore Selection: Isladaay

6.55pm - Follow RiponRaces On Twitter Handicap (1m4f)

Roger Charlton is hoping Barn Owl can continue his good form

All the way York winner Chalk Stream will no doubt make another good bid but BARN OWL may be able to thwart him for Roger Charlton and James Doyle.

The Frankel colt won a novice event over 1m3f at this track in June with a determined effort and his Sandown handicap bow last month saw him finishing second best behind a potentially decent Sir Michael Stoute-trained inmate.

He races from the same mark here and has potential for further improvement back up in distance.

LiveScore Selection: Barn Owl

7.25pm - David Chapman Memorial Handicap (1m)

Just four runners in this mile handicap and they all know how to win.

It should prove a wide open heat but BLU BOY earns the nod to back up his recent win at Beverley for trainer Ed Bethell.

The Muhaarar gelding was an all-weather winner at Newcastle in April and followed that up at Beverley soon after.

He ran well on soft going at York in May before probably finding stamina an issue at Doncaster over 1m2f in June.

He was right back on track three weeks ago, notching his third win of the season, and a 2lb rise for that looks fair.

LiveScore Selection: Blu Boy

7.55pm - Titanium Racing Club Handicap (5f)

Atiyah won well on the all-weather at Chelmsford when last spotted some seven weeks ago and is a contender back on turf (yet to win on this surface) but will need more still to score from what is an 11lb higher mark in this sphere.

Iain Jardine's KRAKEN POWER therefore could be a better option in this sprint.

His mark has fallen 4lb despite what has been a fairly consistent season so far and, judged on last week's run at Musselburgh, he is surely going to land a blow soon.

LiveScore Selection: Kraken Power

8.25pm - Visit Ripon-races.co.uk Apprentice Handicap (1m)

The Mick Easterby-trained filly COME ON LINDA produced a career-best last week at Carlisle (1m, good) in a similar contest when finishing a close-up third of 12.

That effort arrived with first-time blinkers on and the headgear is retained now.

A maiden she remains but a repeat of that effort could see this apprentice contest within her grasp, especially as William Pyle claims 8lb from an unchanged mark.

LiveScore Selection: Come On Linda
