Salah in contention

Jurgen Klopp has revealed Mohamed Salah could feature when Liverpool tackle Brentford on Saturday.

Having picked up a hamstring injury during Egypt's Africa Cup of Nations campaign, the attacker, 31, has not played for the Reds since New Year's Day

But boss Klopp said: "Mo is back in full training. That brings him automatically into contention.

"Ibrahima Konate is not suspended any more, Joe Gomez is fit again, Conor Bradley is back, Alisson [Becker] is back, so that's all positive.

"Thiago [Alcantara], no. Trent [Alexander-Arnold], no.

"I wasn't really aware of it but I caught some of the news there was a discussion we might have forced Trent back. As long as I've been here we've never forced anyone back."

Spurs suffer triple blow

Pedro Porro is one of three newly injured Tottenham players

Ange Postecoglou has revealed Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie are both injured for Saturday's match with Wolves.

The full-backs should only miss this match with Spurs not playing next weekend, while Fraser Forster will be out of action for a longer period with a fractured foot.

Postecoglou said: "We've had a couple of setbacks. Destiny picked up a knock last week, jarred his knee a bit, and he's not available for tomorrow but I don't think it's anything too serious.

"Pedro [Porro] picked up a sort of strain in training. Fair to say he'll be missing tomorrow.

"Probably a couple of weeks for him. With a break hopefully he doesn't miss too many.

"Probably the major one for us is Fraser Forster who has a fracture in his foot and he will probably miss conservatively a couple of months."

Enzo Fernandes has scored in two consecutive games

Mauricio Pochettino has praised the improved form of Enzo Fernandes for Chelsea.

The Blues face a tough trip to Manchester City on Saturday with the Argentine midfielder having scored in both of their last two games.

Pochettino said: "I think he has the capacity to run and it is improving us a lot.

"We can see him building from the back and then arriving to score goals.

"It is a sign he is improving a lot because at the beginning he was a more static and not covering space.

Pep calls for concentration

Pep Guardiola is focused on his own team's performance

Pep Guardiola has challenged his Manchester City side to concentrate on doing their own job as the Premier League title race heats up.

City take on Chelsea on Saturday and the Spaniard is keen his side shut out all other noise.

Guardiola said: "We just need to win our games.

"When we arrive with eight or nine games left, we will see how many teams will be involved.

"It doesn't matter if there are two, three or four, we just need to do our job."

Only two points currently separates the top three teams in the Premier League, with second-placed City trailing Liverpool by two points with a game in hand.

Arsenal manager Arteta, 41, worked with Kompany during his time as Pep Guardiola's assistant at Manchester City.

And he was quick to salute the former City defender, 37, before taking his side to Turf Moor. The Spaniard said: "I have huge respect for him.

"We had a really good relationship when we worked together and now as well. I have a huge admiration for him.

"When he was a player, when I worked with him and he was captain, he conducted himself with a special aura around him.

"He's very well articulated, has great ideas, a very clear vision of how he wants to play the game.

"And on top of that he’s got the courage I love in a coach, in a player. He brings his sleeves up and gets going. His work ethic is phenomenal."
