Manchester United travel to Premier League leaders Liverpool just days after being dumped out of Europe in an action-packed Matchday 17.

Elsewhere, Arsenal host Brighton and Aston Villa visit Brentford following their impressive win over the Gunners last weekend.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham (Friday, 8pm, Sky Sports)

Nottingham Forest are winless in their last four Premier League matches against Tottenham and the visitors look to have found their rhythm again after a bad run.

Ange Postecoglou's side have scored in each of their last 28 top-flight fixtures — their longest streak in league football since 1962.

Captain Heung-Min Son has been involved in 14 goals in his last 13 games but will have to be at his best in the Midlands as Forest look to avoid a third consecutive defeat at home.

Bournemouth vs Luton (Saturday, 3pm)

Luton are yet to keep a clean sheet in 2023-24 and have neither scored nor conceded in the opening 15 minutes of any Premier League match.

Bournemouth have an excellent record against promoted sides — remaining unbeaten in their last six since returning to the division last season.

Dominic Solanke will be looking to maintain his formidable form for the hosts. He has scored four goals in his last five league appearances, taking his tally to eight for the campaign.

Chelsea vs Sheffield United (Saturday, 3pm)

After last week's demoralising loss to Everton, Chelsea face a must-win game at home to a resurgent Sheffield United.

The Blades remain the only Premier League side without an away win this season but they did earn their first clean sheet against Brentford last time out.

Mauricio Pochettino has only lost twice in his managerial career to promoted sides and will be desperate to guide the Blues to just their sixth league win this term.

Manchester City vs Crystal Palace (Saturday, 3pm)

Only Manchester United have won more away games against Manchester City (three) than Crystal Palace (two) since Pep Guardiola was appointed in 2016.

The Citizens are not on the best run of form but returned to winning ways against Luton on MD16 — although they did have to come from behind.

Palace have conceded 23 goals in 2023-24, the seventh-best record across the division, but they will face their biggest test so far against a side who have scored more than anyone else (38).

Newcastle vs Fulham (Saturday, 3pm)

Newcastle are feeling the full impact of European football but stand a good chance of extending their unbeaten run against Fulham to seven games.

The Cottagers are winless in their last seven visits to St James' Park but are currently on fire in front of goal, netting 16 times in their last four matches.

No player has more Premier League assists than Kieran Trippier this season (seven). 

But after hobbling off against AC Milan in midweek, the Magpies may have to cope without their creative full-back.

Burnley vs Everton (Saturday, 5.30pm, Sky Sports)

Despite a difficult start, Burnley can approach Saturday's game with a positive mindset knowing they have won five of their last eight against Everton.

The Toffees would be sitting comfortably in the top half were it not for their 10-point deduction and they are aiming for their fourth consecutive win.

Sean Dyche is returning to Turf Moor for the first time since leaving in 2022 and will be fully confident that the Merseysiders can walk away from his old stomping ground with all three points.

Arsenal vs Brighton (Sunday, 2pm)

Arsenal may pose the biggest threat to City's crown this season but their home record against Brighton is woeful.

The Gunners have lost their last three to the Seagulls, although they do enter the weekend unbeaten in 12 across all competitions at the Emirates.

Brighton have made a habit of conceding first in the Premier League — doing so in their last four — but they have gone on to lose just one of those matches.

Brentford vs Aston Villa (Sunday, 2pm)

Unai Emery's Aston Villa could leapfrog Liverpool in the table with a win at Brentford but are yet to defeat the Bees away in the 21st century.

The West Londoners have lost just once in their last 10 at home to the Villans. 

But they are on a losing streak in the top flight, last winning against Luton on December 2.

Goals look to be guaranteed in this one as none of Emery's 92 games in charge of the Midlands club have ended 0-0. 

West Ham vs Wolves (Sunday, 2pm, Sky Sports)

After being stunned at Craven Cottage, West Ham are looking to get back to winning ways against Wolves and make it four victories in a row against them.

Wolves have not had much luck on their ventures to London and are without a win in their previous 13 trips.

Matheus Cunha is just the fourth different player to either score or assist in five successive Premier League matches for the visitors and he will be hoping to link up with top scorer Hee-Chan Hwang — who has already bagged eight times in the top flight.

Liverpool vs Manchester United (Sunday, 4.30pm, Sky Sports)

A blockbuster clash at Anfield concludes the action and United may need a miracle to avoid defeat to arch-rivals Liverpool.

The Reds have won all seven of their home games this season and victory would ensure they remain at the top of the table for another week.

Mohamed Salah will be keen to add a 13th goal against the Red Devils — who will be without club captain Bruno Fernandes due to suspension.
