Hartlepool and FC Halifax were forced to settle for a goalless draw in their Vanarama National League encounter at the Prestige Group Stadium.
Halifax goalkeeper Sam Johnson saved from Joe Grey, Greg Sloggett and Anthony Mancini in the first half and also denied Tom Parkes late on.
The visitors had chances through Adan George and Angelo Cappello but were unable to beat Adam Smith.
Hartlepool finished strongly with Gary Madine, Kieron Freeman and Adam Campbell all having chances but they could not find a way through and Smith saved from Ryan Galvin at the other end.
