Abdul Fatawu admits Leicester are desperate to get their title tilt back on track against Watford.

Enzo Maresca's men made a sensational start to the campaign, winning 13 of their first 14 Championship games to pull clear at the summit.

But back-to-back defeats to Leeds and Middlesbrough before the international break saw Ipswich draw level on points.

Ghanaian winger Fatawu, 19, has made an encouraging start to life in England since joining on loan from Portuguese giants Sporting in August.

And he is confident Saturday's clash at the King Power Stadium with a Hornets side unbeaten in six outings will see the hosts rise to the occasion. 

Fatawu told LiveScore: "I'm feeling confident. The whole team is looking forward to it. 

"We lost two games in a row so it's all about coming back stronger. Everyone is looking sharp in training and we're really excited to play again.

"It's always great playing in front of our home fans. They give me extra energy with their support. 

"It's a special place to play and I love playing in front of them."

Loving life

Fatawu has hit the ground running in the East Midlands, exciting the Leicester faithful with his direct running and eye for the spectacular.

The Championship's fast pace often takes new arrivals some getting used to but the teenager already feels at home in England.

He said: "So far I'm settling in well and really enjoying it.

"There's so much difference in how we play here. I think it suits me and how I want to play, which is great.

"I would be happy to continue my career in Leicester. I feel so good and happy here."

Fatawu credits his fast start to his Maresca, who was an assistant to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City before taking the Foxes job.

He added: "He is someone who always wants to help you get better. 

"He teaches you both on and off the pitch and is someone I think any player would like to play under."

Fatawu also believes it is obvious Maresca worked under Guardiola. 

He said: "There are similarities. In the dressing room, on the training ground. He's very motivational and puts on excellent sessions, very detailed.

"I like to go one-vs-one and he encourages me to do that. I'll do anything I can to get past the defender and he backs me to do that.

"He really is a great coach."
