Everton fan and founder of TheMightyBlues YouTube channel Cameron Hay believes Sean Dyche has earned the right to be given time to make his mark at Goodison Park after securing the Toffees' Premier League status last season.

Roll the Dyche

Last season, Sean Dyche was exactly the type of manager we needed, somebody that was going to come in and demand respect from the dressing room.

He's a big voice, he's vocal and knows what he's doing. He's had experience in that area of fighting for safety in the Premier League.

So I definitely think he was the right man for the job and Sean undoubtedly deserves time to go at it again this season because he's kept us up at a time when I would say a large majority of the fan base didn't believe that he would.

If you were to ask most fans whether they want Sean Dyche to take us into the new stadium, I think the answer would be yes because that would mean that he has done a good enough job to stay at the club.

Sean Dyche will be looking to build on Everton's 17th-place finish last season

Transfer troubles

At the moment, there's a massive argument to suggest that [the transfer window] has been underwhelming. We've brought in Ashley Young and Arnaut Danjuma but we still need a centre forward.

With the injuries to Dominic Calvert-Lewin and failing to bring one in during the winter, it very nearly came back to bite us.

You don't want to be playing two or three Premier League games without the key signings that you need to make because you want these players embedded in, so there's been a massive air of anxiety and stress around pre-season.

I think Dyche has looked at it and thought if we can't bring in the players that we need to then we're at least going to get the current players as fit as they possibly can be going into the start of the season.

Fast start

Everton beat Arsenal in Sean Dyche's first game in charge last season

You always want to start the season with a couple of wins.

If you look at our fixtures this season, we've got Fulham at home — which I think is a very winnable game — and Villa away, which will be tough.

Then you've got Wolves at home and Sheffield United away. So there are games there that Everton can pick up some points and if we can come out of those first three games with six points then that would be a great start.

We don't want to get to that Arsenal game on September 16 and still be searching for our first win because that's when the anxiety will start to set in.

Danjuma danger

I can't even describe to you how bad we are at scoring goals — we just don't have any goalscorers in this side.

Our highest goalscorer in the Premier League last season was Dwight McNeil with seven and the second was Demarai Gray with four.

But Danjuma reminds me of Richarlison a little bit with the type of attitude he has on the pitch. He's obviously capable of scoring goals and being involved in them as well.

Hopefully he can bring that this season because we desperately need it. He has proven that he can come in and score goals and is a tricky player and his ability on the ball will benefit us massively.
