Diogo Jota thinks Liverpool can keep racking up points despite a growing list of absentees.

The Reds hammered Bournemouth 4-0 without the likes of Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joel Matip.

A shortage of outfield players meant two goalkeepers were named on the bench but Jota, 27, and Darwin Nunez both struck second-half doubles to seal victory.

The Portugal star, who also set up Nunez's opener, told Sky Sports: "It's part of the job, we have a few injuries, players on international duty.

"We survived December. January is coming thick and fast and I think we have the players and the quality to keep winning games.

"When we have world-class players it is easier with them — but we are Liverpool, we have good players and we can try and replace them and share the cost of the games between us and keep going."

Jota scored twice in nine minutes — bookended by Nunez's strikes — as Premier League leaders Liverpool went five points clear of Manchester City.

He added: "I try to be in the right place at the right time.

"This kind of feeling just comes naturally and that's why I need to be there to score goals and make assists."

Conor Bradley, 20, impressed while deputising for Alexander-Arnold and was delighted to make his Premier League bow.

He beamed: "To be fair it was a good team performance, it was a difficult place to come, they're in good form so to get the 4-0 win, the clean sheet and three points was great.

"I've been wanting to do this since about five years old. I've been waiting for my Premier League debut for a while so I'm really proud.

"Trent is unbelievable, he's been in unbelievable form this season so I've just got to keep trying to do my best for the team and see where that takes me."
