The 2023-24 season wraps up on Saturday night under the Wembley arch as Real Madrid meet Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final.

The Spanish champions are favourites to add to their 14 European crowns, but Dortmund have already caused some surprises in this season’s competition in reaching the showpiece finale.

Dortmund’s excellent run in Europe should see them at least cause problems for Real. The final is far from a foregone conclusion and with an intense clash on the cards, see our four bet builder selections below and a 28/1 tip!

Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid (Saturday, 8pm)

Bet 1: Vinicius Junior to score or assist

Vinicius Junior is having a fantastic season and this is the perfect stage for the Brazilian to really shine.

His role in Carlo Ancelotti’s front two allows him to drift around and find space and he is proven himself adept at being both a finisher and a creator.

The Brazilian has five goals and four assists in the Champions League this season and, given his obvious quality, expect him to influence the outcome in one way or another.

Bet 2: Rodrygo to have over 1.5 shots on target

While Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham often overshadow him, Rodrygo has been vital to Real’s run to the final.

The Brazilian has had a few quiet games in Europe this season but when he is at his best, he is a huge problem for opposition defences.

Rodrygo has had at least two shots on target in eight of his 12 Champions League games so far, while he has had two shots on target in four of his last five appearances in Europe.

In that run, Rodrygo has caused problems for two sides which finished above Dortmund in the Bundesliga this season, as well as defending champions Manchester City, so back him for a couple of shots on target.

Bet 3: Marcel Sabitzer to have over 0.5 shots on target

Marcel Sabitzer may be seen as something of a holding midfielder but he has not been afraid to get forward

Despite operating in a holding role for Dortmund, Marcel Sabitzer still pushes forward when the opportunities arise and get on the end of chances.

The Austrian showed his attacking edge for Manchester United last term and he has had six shots on target across his last four appearances in the Champions League.

He has had at least one shot on target in seven of his nine appearances since the last international break, so back the midfielder to work whichever goalkeeper Carlo Ancelotti chooses.

Bet 4: Emre Can to be carded

Finally, Emre Can has picked up nine bookings for Dortmund this season, including four yellow cards in 10 Champions League appearances.

The midfielder needs to cover for Sabitzer’s bursts forward and has three cautions in his last nine starts. With Real set to flood him with their talent midfielders, back Can to pick up a booking.
