The first trio topped their respective pools by a solitary point, seeing off runners-up Portugal, Denmark and Hungary respectively.

Meanwhile, the Dutch were the only nation across all of League A to avoid defeat, winning five and drawing one of their six qualifying clashes.

Where are the 2023 Nations League finals being held?

The Netherlands were selected to host this year's finals by the UEFA Executive Committee in November 2022, meaning Ronald Koeman's side have home advantage.

There was an application process to be considered as a potential host with UEFA requiring bidders to propose two stadiums with a capacity of more than 30,000 that are close to each other.

As a result, this year's finals will be played at the grounds of Eredivisie sides Feyenoord and FC Twente.

The action kicks off with the hosts taking on Croatia in Rotterdam on Wednesday evening before Spain and Italy clash in Enschede 24 hours later.

Who are the previous winners of the Nations League?

Portugal and France are the two previous winners of the Nations League, though neither will be adding a second title in 2023.

The Selecao toppled the Netherlands 1-0 in the inaugural final in 2019, while Les Bleus overcame Spain 2-1 two years later.

Both losing finalists will have the chance to right those wrongs this week.
