Tommy Paul will be hoping to book his spot in the fourth round of Wimbledon

Friday marks day five of Wimbledon and there is plenty of third-round action to get stuck into across both the men's and women's sides of the draw.

British star Emma Raducanu faces ninth seed Maria Sakkari in a blockbuster encounter while Diana Shnaider will be hoping to land another big scalp in the shape of beat Emma Navarro.

In the men's draw, Tommy Paul goes up against Alexander Bublik and there is also a battle of the elder statesmen as Fabio Fognini takes on Roberto Bautista Agut.

Bet 1: Tommy Paul to beat Alexander Bublik

American Tommy Paul warmed up for Wimbledon by winning the Queen's Club Championship and he has been put through his paces to reach round three, requiring four sets against Pedro Martinez before beating Otto Virtanen in five sets.

The 12th seed now takes on 23rd seed Alexander Bublik, who was forced to come from two sets down in round one before enjoying a much more comfortable 3-0 victory over Arthur Cazaux last time out.

Paul won the only previous meeting back in 2019 and given his form on grass has been strong this season, he should be able to come through this test.

Bet 2: Fabio Fognini to beat Roberto Bautista Agut

Two stalwarts will do battle on Friday when 37-year-old Fabio Fognini takes on 36-year-old Roberto Bautista Agut, who reached the semi-finals here back in 2019.

Spaniard Bautista Agut is not the player he was five years ago and he has an inferior head-to-head record against Fognini, who has won seven of their 10 meetings.

Italian ace Fognini caused a huge shock to dispatch eighth seed Casper Ruud in round two and he can use that momentum to book his place in the fourth round.

Bet 3: Diana Shnaider to beat Emma Navarro

Diana Shnaider qualified for the main draw of Wimbledon for the first time this year and she has performed superbly so far, knocking out 2021 finalist Karolina Pliskova in round one before thrashing 2017 US Open champion Sloane Stephens 6-1-6-1.

The 20-year-old Russian reached the quarter-finals of the Rothesay Classic before winning the Bad Homburg Open prior to the Grand Slam at the All England Club and her future looks extremely bright.

Emma Navarro will be no pushover and the 19th seed showed her quality when knocking Naomi Osaka out in round two, but Shnaider's form on grass is undeniable and she can land another big scalp.

Bet 4: Emma Raducanu to beat Maria Sakkari

After getting past Renata Zarazua in round one, Emma Raducanu put in a dominant performance to defeat Elise Mertens 6-1 6-2 in round two and really announce herself at this year's tournament.

Everyone knows what the British star is capable of after seeing her win the 2021 US Open and she is starting to reap the benefits of an injury-free period, having reached the semi-finals of the Rothesay Open and quarters of the Rothesay International prior to Wimbledon.

Next up for Raducanu is a clash against ninth seed Maria Sakkari, who was struggling for form ahead of the Grand Slam and has yet to get past the third round at the All England Club.

Sakkari looks there for the taking and Raducanu, spurred on by the partisan home crowd, can deliver.
