- Both teams have scored in each of Leeds’ last 11 Premier League matches
- West Ham have won five and drawn one of their eight home matches against bottom-half teams
- Recommended bet: West Ham to win and both teams to score

West Ham will want to build on the feel-good factor after booking their Europa Conference League final place, while relegation-threatened Leeds are looking for their first victory under temporary boss Sam Allardyce.

The Hammers should be full of beans but before they start thinking about their European final meeting with Fiorentina, they have to see their way past former boss Allardyce and Leeds at the London Stadium.

David Moyes’s side have done well to reach the Europa Conference League final, but the domestic campaign will be viewed as a disappointment as they have spent most of the season in the bottom six of the Premier League.

However, Newcastle and Liverpool have been the only visiting teams to have left Stratford with three points since the turn of the year so they should be confident.

Leeds have shown signs of improvement in two games under Allardyce after giving Manchester City plenty of problems and drawing with the Magpies, but they are still winless in seven.

Team news

West Ham have not been specific about who suffered knocks in their win over AZ Alkmaar on Thursday, but there could still be some changes.

Whoever starts will be keen to make an impression with the European final to come, but one player who will not feature is striker Gianluca Sambucca, whose season is over after a knee injury.

The game looks to have come too early for Leeds skipper Liam Cooper despite his return to training, while Junior Firpo is suspended after a red card in the draw with Newcastle.

The stats

West Ham have scored in all nine of their Premier League home matches in 2023.

Leeds have lost and both teams have scored in their last four away games.

Leeds are without a win in their last seven league games.

There have been three or more goals in 10 of Leeds’ last 11 matches.

Both teams have scored in four of the last five meetings between the sides.

Prediction

There have been signs of life at Leeds over the last couple of weeks, but for all the optimism generated from Allardyce’s two games in charge, they are still looking for that all-important win.

That wait could continue when they head to West Ham. A win over Manchester United and a draw with Arsenal after they had been two-goals down shows the Hammers are not an easy touch and they have had a habit of finding the net when they have been in action at home.

Leeds have conceded at least two goals in their last five away games and they could struggle to keep West Ham at bay.

They have scored but lost in each of their last four matches on the road at Manchester City, Bournemouth, Fulham and Arsenal.
