Swansea boast an excellent record against West Brom in recent times as they head for The Hawthorns in search of a sixth win against the Baggies in seven meetings.

Carlos Corberan's Albion are off to a good start this season, however, with away wins at QPR and Stoke sandwiching a gutsy 0-0 draw at home to title favourites Leeds.

Swansea's one league win this season was 3-0 at home to Preston, but they head for the Black Country on the back of a disappointing 1-0 home loss to Wycombe in the EFL Cup.

Team news

West Brom hope to have midfielder Uros Racic and forward Callum Styles on the bench ahead of possible debuts.

Winger Grady Diangana left the pitch at Stoke with a shoulder injury, but Corberan has suggested that he should be able to recover in time to face the Swans.

The visitors will hope to include new loan signing from Brentford, midfielder Myles Peart-Harris, in their squad.

Kyle Bartley continues to be a key figure at the heart of the West Brom defence.

The stats

West Brom have not conceded a goal in any of their last three home games.

Swansea have won five of the last six meetings against the Baggies and have lost only one of the last seven.

The Swans have won only one of their last seven Championship away games, April's 4-0 win at a Huddersfield side who would go on to be relegated.

Both of these clubs are averaging under 10 shots per game and are also conceding under 10 shots per game.

Prediction

There is nothing in Swansea's away form to suggest they can claim yet another victory at The Hawthorns against West Brom.

The Welsh side boast a surprisingly decent record against the Baggies, but this Saturday the momentum seems to be with Corberan's men.

Seven points from nine having already had trips to QPR and Stoke and played Leeds at home – winning the first two and drawing 0-0 with the Whites – is an excellent return.

They have a settled back four with ex-Swan Kyle Bartley and Semi Ajayi at the heart of it and in three games – two on the road and one at home to much-fancied Leeds – they have allowed the opposition just nine shots on target, conceding only twice.

Swansea are barely any less frugal and have certainly tightened up after their opening-day 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough, where they should have been thrashed.

They have since beaten Preston 3-0 and drawn 1-1 with Cardiff, but this is their first road trip since the day out on Teesside and everything points to Albion winning a low-scoring, tight affair.
