- Watford have kept four clean sheets in eight home games
- QPR have scored just 15 goals in 17 league games
- Recommended Bet:
Under 0.5 QPR goals

Watford come into the latest round of Championship fixtures inside the play-off places and will be looking to strengthen their hold on a top-six spot against struggling QPR.

The visitors won 2-0 at Cardiff last time out but that was just their second league win of the season. QPR sit second from bottom, two points adrift of safety, and with just 15 goals scored in 17 games they have the joint worst attacking record in the division.

It could be a tough afternoon for the visitors as they head to a Watford side who have made Vicarage Road a fortress this season, having picked up 22 points from a possible 24 so far.

Team news

Watford remain without injury victims Angelo Ogbonna and Tom Dele-Bashiru, while Jeremy Ngakia is a doubt despite being named among the substitutes for the win over Bristol City last time out.

QPR have a bigger injury list with key attacker Ilias Chair among their absentees. The Moroccan has missed the last three games and Saturday’s game will come too soon.

Karamoko Dembele, Jake Clarke-Salter and Michael Frey are also missing, while midfielder Jack Colback is considered a doubt.

The stats

Tom Cleverley's Watford have been far stronger at home so far this season and have conceded just four league goals at Vicarage Road

Watford have kept clean sheets in each of their last three home games.

QPR have failed to score in four of their last five away games.

Watford won both league meetings last season, 4-0 at home and 2-1 away.

Under 2.5 goals has been a winning bet in each of QPR’s last six away games.

Prediction

Watford come into this game as the clear 3/4 favourites with LiveScore Bet and hold some appeal at that price considering their exceptional home record, having dropped just two points after eight games.

However, the standout option could be backing QPR’s limp attack to draw a blank at Vicarage Road.

The Hoops claimed a vital win over fellow strugglers Cardiff last time out but should find this trip to Watford a far tougher assignment.

The Hornets’ success this season has been built on their incredible home form with 22 of their 29 points coming in front of their own fans.

Manager Tom Cleverley has turned his team into a solid defensive unit and Watford have kept three consecutive clean sheets at home, winning all of those games 1-0, and across all competitions they have six shutouts in 10 games across all competitions - allowing just four goals in total.

QPR are scoring on average under a goal per-game in the league and they could be in for another frustrating afternoon on Saturday.
