Harry Kane will not sign a new contract at Tottenham and wants to join Bayern Munich.

The England captain's future has dominated back pages all summer and The Times say Kane has now made his feelings on the situation clear to Spurs chiefs.

It is claimed the 29-year-old has no intention of trying to force a move through publicly — especially after a proposed switch to Manchester City collapsed two years ago.

However, his contract with boyhood club Tottenham expires next summer and Kane is happy to let the deal run down ahead of exiting on a free transfer.

That stance gives the North Londoners a dilemma, with Bundesliga champions Bayern having recently tabled a reported £68.5million offer for the No10 — which was swiftly rejected.

Owner Daniel Levy wants at least £100m for his prized asset but may reconsider his stance now that hopes of an extension appear dead in the water.

New Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou confirmed this week that he hopes to have Kane at his disposal next season.

He said: "He's with the club at the moment. He's a legend of the football club already. If he retired today, they'd still probably build a statue for him.

"He's a fantastic guy, a fantastic professional, but with everything in life there are always uncertainties there. Hopefully I get to work with Harry a lot longer."
