Both teams to score

Tottenham will be hoping to avoid an FA Cup shock when they head to The Lamb Ground to face non-League Tamworth in the third round on Sunday.

Premier League outfit Spurs are 72 places above the Lambs, who occupy 16th position in the National League, and a win for the hosts would stand as one of the biggest upsets in this competition.

Team news

James Maddison could be brought back into Tottenham's starting XI

Tamworth midfielder Ben Acquaye remains sidelined as he continues his recovery from an ACL rupture, while Callum Cockerill-Mollett is a doubt after he missed the last game with an injury.

Tottenham remain without Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie, Wilson Odobert, Guglielmo Vicario, Ben Davies and Richarlison due to injury, while Fraser Forster is a doubt because of illness.

James Maddison and Pape Sarr are both back from suspension and could be given some playing time, along with the likes of  Will Lankshear, Alfie Dorrington and Mikey Moore.

Goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky impressed on debut in the Carabao Cup semi-final, first-leg win over Liverpool and he should retain his starting spot in what will be his first taste of the FA Cup.

The stats

Tamworth have never made it past the third round of the FA Cup, losing all three of their previous appearances at this stage in 2005-06, 2006-07 and 2011-12.

The Lambs have faced just one Premier League opponent in this competition, losing 2-0 to Everton at Goodison Park back in January 2012.

Andy Peaks's side are without a win in their last three fixtures, having drawn with Forest Green Rovers before suffering defeats to Solihull Moors and Sutton United.

Tamworth have scored in their last eight home games, including the 1-0 FA Cup victory over Huddersfield Town.

Visitors Tottenham ended a four-game winless streak with Wednesday's Carabao Cup semi-final, first-leg win over Liverpool in north London.

Spurs have prevailed in each of their last nine FA Cup contests versus non-league opponents.

Ange Postecoglou's side have scored in 10 of their 13 away matches in all competitions.

Prediction

With Tottenham 1/12 with LiveScore Bet to get the win in normal time, value has to be looked for in other areas and the both teams to score market looks like the one to side with at just under evens.

Tamworth will not want to be lambs to the slaughter on home soil and they will try to make the atmosphere as hostile as possible for a Spurs side that have had their fair share of criticism of late.

While the Lambs are not in flying form heading into this contest, they have shown attacking strength at home with a 0-0 draw against Yeovil Town on October 22 the last time they failed to score in front of their own fans.

It will be tough to get the better of a Premier League opponent, but Tottenham have not been water-tight at the back and the clean sheet against Liverpool in midweek was their first shutout since December 15.

Spurs are better going forward than they are at the back, though, with their tally of 42 league goals bettered only by the Reds (47) and it would be a huge shock should they not get on the scoresheet.
