LaLiga champions Real Madrid and adidas have unveiled Los Blancos' home kit for the 2022-23 campaign.

The strip pays tribute to the club’s history as they mark their 120th anniversary, winning a spectacular 35 league titles along with 13 European crowns since their foundation in 1902.

Since their inception, Real have been known for their iconic white jerseys.

The new version features purple detailing on the collar with the traditional adidas three stripes on the shoulder and the club logo in white all over the shirt.

Carlo Ancelotti delivered Real another league title this term, which was clinched with a 4-0 win over Espanyol last month.

The Spanish giants will end their domestic campaign at home to Real Betis on Friday night before preparations begin in earnest for their Champions League final encounter with Liverpool on Saturday, May 28.

The game will be a repeat of the 2018 showpiece which saw Los Merengues win 3-1 in Kiev.

This season's top Champions League marksman Karim Benzema was on the scoresheet that day and the French forward will once again hope to have a major say in the result of the clash when Ancelotti's men travel to Paris.

Looking ahead to next term, Madrid fans will be eager to see if Kylian Mbappe’s name will be emblazoned on the new shirt.

The French superstar has been linked with a move away from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, with the most likely destination rumoured to be the Bernabeu.

Mbappe’s contract is set to expire next month and the footballing world will wait in anticipation to see if he will sport Madrid’s new strip in a significant year of their history.

But one player who will not be sporting the strip is Gareth Bale after the Welshman's agent confirmed he will be leaving the club when his deal runs out this summer.

The new home jersey is available to purchase online and across selected adidas and official Real Madrid stores, as well as selected retailers and fashion stores from May 16.
