There are currently 14 runners left in for Sunday's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp.

Fourteen runners have been confirmed for Sunday's Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe after the first forfeit stage, as connections keep a close eye on weather reports ahead of the Group 1 contest.

There were no major surprises in terms of the names left in the field following the opening stage of the process, with four French horses still in the frame.

A decision on whether Raabihah, trained by Jean-Claude Rouget, will run in Sunday's big race is likely to be made in the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, there are also question marks on whether Prix Niel winner Bubble Gift will feature.

Star filly Tarnawa is also part of the field at this stage and the five-year-old will be towards the top of the market if confirmed to run later this week.

Dermot Weld's charge has won five of her last six races, including two wins at Longchamp last year, with victory in the Prix Vermeille in September before a short-neck success in the Prix de l'Opera Longines in October.

Aidan O'Brien still has two runners in the field - Love and Broome - after the first declaration stage, but Oaks winner Snowfall looks set to be supplemented at a cost of €120,000.

The Charlie Appleby-trained Adayar - who will be ridden by William Buick - is another expected to be supplemented and the Derby winner is likely to be joined by stable-mate Hurricane Lane at Longchamp.

One name that has caught the eye out of the 14 remaining runners is Mojo Star, with the St Leger runner-up potentially looking to become Richard Hannon's first success in this Group 1 contest.

Arc field, at present: Torquator Tasso (GER), Deep Bond (JPN), Broome (IRE), Tarnawa (IRE), Love (IRE), Raabihah (FR), Chrono Genesis (JPN), Mojo Star (GB), Baby Rider (FR), Hurricane Lane (GB), Sealiway (FR), Alenquer (GB), Bubble Gift (FR), Teona (GB).

The going at Longchamp is currently described as good, good to soft in places although this week's forecast remains unclear.

Originally the weather experts suggested there would be significant rainfall in northern France in midweek, but the latest forecasts say the wet weather may not arrive now until the weekend.

The last two Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe's have been run on very testing ground and course officials are doing all they can to try avoid deep ground for Sunday.

Sections of the back straight and the final turn have been kept fresh over the last couple of months and have been extensively drained.
