There are seven intriguing Premier League fixtures taking place on Saturday, with Arsenal, Brighton and Manchester City all looking to preserve their perfect starts to the campaign.

Here are our expert writers’ top selections for each top-flight game..

Arsenal vs Brighton (12.30pm)

Arsenal have begun the season strongly with two solid victories over Wolves and Aston Villa and they should make it three wins from three this weekend.

Despite keeping clean sheets in both matches, the Gunners have looked vulnerable at the back at times and Brighton, who have impressed going forward under new boss Fabian Hurzeler, should be able to get on the scoresheet at the Emirates, even if it is unlikely to be enough to prevent the visitors from slipping to their first defeat of the season.

Brentford vs Southampton (3pm)

Brentford should have too much for newly-promoted Southampton, who are still searching for their first goal and points of the new season.

They both managed wins in the Carabao Cup despite making wholesale changes and, while the speculation over Ivan Toney's future continues to be an unwelcome distraction for the Bees, Thomas Frank's men can put that to one side and see off the Saints without too many problems.

Everton vs Bournemouth (3pm)

Everton beat Doncaster 3-0 on Tuesday in the League Cup and welcomed both Seamus Coleman and James Garner back to the team. They will be hoping that duo can help them to a win over a Bournemouth side that have struggled on the road.

The Cherries have won just one of their last seven away games in all competitions and have lost on five occasions, so it could be another difficult afternoon for them.

Ipswich vs Fulham (3pm)

It is played two, lost two for Ipswich, which is no disgrace considering their first Premier League games since promotion have been against Liverpool and Manchester City.

The major issue is not necessarily the results but the incredible buying spree the club has been going on with six new faces arriving in the past two weeks alone and 11 in total over the summer.

Because of that Fulham look the more settled and are clearly the more upbeat following a week which yielded a 2-1 win over Leicester in the league and a 2-0 win at Birmingham in the cup.

Leicester vs Aston Villa (3pm)

Aston Villa were 2-1 winners on their last trip to the King Power and remarkably five of their last six victories over Leicester have been by that scoreline.

Having also won 2-1 away at West Ham on the opening weekend and with three of their eight road victories in the league last season coming by that scoreline, Villa supporters will be used to edging things on their travels.

Leicester were beaten 2-1 at Fulham last weekend and there could be a feeling of deja vu in the East Midlands on Saturday.

Nottingham Forest vs Wolves (3pm)

The last four meetings between these two teams have also ended as a draw and there may be little to separate the two sides once again.

Wolves should tighten up defensively after their battering by Chelsea last week and this may well be a game in which both teams cancel each other out.

West Ham vs Manchester City (5.30pm)

With Manchester City having never lost at the London Stadium in the league, it is hard to back against them from taking all three points and maintaining their perfect start to the season.

To give more value to a City win, add in Savinho to register an assist. The Brazil international has started both league games and he provided an assist in the 4-1 win over Ipswich last time out.
