Eddie Howe's Newcastle have won five matches on the spin

- Everton have scored just one goal in their last five away games
- West Ham have scored in all but one away match this season
- Manchester United have failed to score on their last five trips to Liverpool

The 2024/25 Premier League season passes the halfway stage this week and Liverpool are in possession of a commanding lead at the top of the table as they prepare to do battle with old rivals Manchester United on Sunday.

There are seven top-flight matches taking place on Saturday, including Arsenal's evening trip to Brighton, while Wolves and Nottingham Forest conclude the Week 20 action on Monday.

Joe Champion has correct-score picks for all 10 Premier League matches.

Tottenham vs Newcastle (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Tottenham have won just one of their last seven home matches in all competitions and could struggle to stop Newcastle, who are on a five-match winning run. The Magpies can prevail in an entertaining contest.

Score prediction: Tottenham 1-2 Newcastle

Bournemouth vs Everton (Saturday, 3pm)

Bournemouth are unbeaten in seven and should edge out Everton at the Vitality Stadium. The visitors have lost on their last three trips to the south coast and have failed to score in seven of their last nine games.

Score prediction: Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Aston Villa vs Leicester (Saturday, 3pm)

Aston Villa have claimed ten points from their last four home matches and should have too much class for Leicester. The Foxes have lost their last four fixtures by a margin of at least two goals.

Score prediction: Aston Villa 2-0 Leicester

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea (Saturday, 3pm)

Chelsea hit the buffers over Christmas, failing to beat any of Everton, Fulham and Ipswich, and the Blues are not certain to see off Crystal Palace. The Eagles have lost just one of their last eight league matches and can avoid defeat.

Score prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Chelsea

Southampton vs Brentford (Saturday, 3pm)

Ivan Juric has presided over two defeats as Southampton manager and Brentford could pile on further misery. The Bees have faced a tough run of fixtures lately but their firepower may prove the difference.

Score prediction: Southampton 1-2 Brentford

Man City vs West Ham (Saturday, 3pm)

Man City snapped their winless run against Leicester last weekend and should double up in their home tie with West Ham. However, the Citizens' defence has been exposed on several occasions so the Hammers can get on the scoresheet.

Score prediction: Man City 2-1 West Ham

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal have fared well on their trips to Brighton in the recent past

Brighton vs Arsenal (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Brighton are winless in seven and Arsenal should prove a cut above their Sussex hosts. The Gunners have won 3-0 and 4-2 in their last two trips to the Amex and can prevail by a clear margin once again.

Score prediction: Brighton 0-2 Arsenal

Fulham vs Ipswich (Sunday, 2pm)

Fulham entered 2025 in the top half of the table and should have Ipswich's measure at home. The Tractor Boys beat Chelsea last time out but they've suffered four defeats in their last six road matches.

Score prediction: Fulham 2-1 Ipswich

Liverpool vs Man Utd (Sunday, 4.30pm)

This should be easy pickings for Liverpool, who have scored 14 goals in winning their last three matches. Manchester United have lost five of their last six games, four of them by a margin of at least two goals, and look unlikely to live with the league leaders.

Score prediction: Liverpool 3-0 Man Utd

Wolves vs Nottingham Forest (Monday, 8pm)

Wolves have shown immediate improvement under Vitor Pereira and can hold firm to claim a point against Forest. The Tricky Trees are in superb form but they are facing a home team with renewed self-belief.

Score prediction: Wolves 1-1 Nottingham Forest
