Omar Sowunmi’s late header earned 10-man Bromley a deserved 1-1 draw at Cheltenham.

The home side had taken the lead though Ethon Archer early in the second half, but Andy Woodman’s side, who had Carl Jenkinson sent off midway through the first half, levelled in the 82nd minute.

Archer maintained his scoring run after a cross was half-cleared and he drilled a low shot past unsighted goalkeeper Grant Smith in the 50th minute.

It was his fifth goal of the season and third in as many appearances.

Bromley lost Jenkinson in the 24th minute after he fouled George Miller, having already been cautioned for a challenge on Archer.

The Ravens had caused problems for Cheltenham early on, with Louis Dennis denied by Joe Day when played through on goal in the 16th minute.

Michael Cheek fired over from a good position as Bromley almost levelled in the 48th minute and substitute Olufela Olomola shot wide before seeing another effort held by Day.

But Sowunmi headed in Kamarl Grant’s throw-in from close range to ensure Bromley left with a point, with Matty Taylor’s effort in the final seconds hitting a post for Cheltenham from Young’s corner delivery.
