- Nottingham Forest have gone four matches without a victory
- Bristol City have avoided defeat in four of their last five away games
- Recommended bet: Bristol City or draw double chance

Bristol City are unbeaten after playing three FA Cup matches against Premier League teams and they will be looking to spring a surprise against Nottingham Forest in their fourth-round replay at the City Ground.

The Robins overcame West Ham in the third round and have earned a second crack at Forest, who they held to a 0-0 draw at Ashton Gate last month.

Forest were also taken to a replay by League One Blackpool in the third round before posting a 3-2 extra-time success at Bloomfield Road.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are just two points above the Premier League relegation zone after Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Bournemouth.

Team news

Divock Origi (groin) remains absent for Forest while fellow striker Chris Wood (hamstring) is a doubt.

Willy Boly, Ibrahim Sangare, Ola Aina and Serge Aurier are on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Bristol City attacking midfielder Scott Twine (thigh) has joined Mark Sykes, Kal Naismith (both hamstring), Rob Atkinson and Ayman Benarous (both knee) in the treatment room.

Belgian under-21 winger Dire Mebude was snapped up on deadline day on loan from Westerlo but is ineligible.

The stats

Nuno Espirito Santo's Forest have failed to win any of their last six games in 90 mins, which includes two games against Blackpool

Nottingham Forest have kept just one clean sheet in their last 15 fixtures.

Five of Forest’s last nine matches have generated at least four goals.

Bristol City have avoided defeat in four of their last five away matches.

The Robins have been victorious in each of their last three FA Cup fourth-round ties.

Eight of City’s last nine matches have featured fewer than three goals.

Prediction

Bristol City are still on the road to Wembley having played three matches against Premier League teams and they have a decent chance of getting past Nottingham Forest in their FA Cup fourth-round replay.

There was very little to choose between the teams in last month’s 0-0 draw at Ashton Gate, which was short on quality and clear-cut chances.

However, the Robins won the shot count nine to seven and are likely to be a tough nut to crack at the City Ground.

Forest would like to have a cup run but their manager, Nuno, is sure to have one eye on Saturday’s clash at home to Newcastle which will be another big moment in their survival struggle.

Nuno will want his big hitters fresh for the weekend and, if he makes a few too many changes, it will only give added encouragement to City, who look overpriced to at least take the tie into extra-time.
