Newmarket is preparing to host a busy afternoon of racing on Saturday.

The Group One Sun Chariot Stakes is the feature race on an excellent card from Newmarket on Saturday.

Some of the best fillies from the UK and Ireland are set to battle it out in the 1m contest.

The action begins at 1.10pm and the seven-race card runs through to 4.40pm. Here are five horses to follow.

LiveScore Five To Follow at Newmarket on Saturday

1.10pm - MansionBet Best Odds Guaranteed EBF Maiden Stakes (1m)

Al Nafir looks a promising colt on paper as he is well bred and represents the strong Charlie Appleby stable. However, the Dubawi colt may just need this first run so we could see the best of him next season.

WOLSEY finished second on his debut at Sandown (1m). He was beaten by a strong colt in what was an encouraging performance. He can step up from that result and go one place better in this maiden for two-year-olds.

LiveScore Selection: Wolsey

1.45pm - British EBF Premier Fillies' Handicap (1m2f)

Unfortunately for his connections, ACHELOIS fell just short of a hat-trick last time out at York where she had to settle for third place of 12, beaten by just a length. Andrew Balding's filly has been well ahead of the handicapper as she prevailed at both Ascot and Goodwood.

The daughter of Zoffany may not be done just yet. She is off a 1lb higher mark than her attempt at York. She also has some good form on softer ground so if showers fall prior to the race, conditions will be in her favour.

LiveScore Selection: Achelois

2.20pm - £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes (6f)

FEARBY has contested some really strong two-year-old races this season, including the Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes last time at Newbury where he was third behind Wings Of War and Hierarchy respectively. This assignment will be much easier than he has been facing.

Edward Bethell's runner has scored twice already this season and more wins are sure to go his way on the basis of his form at Group level. He is the one to beat here.

LiveScore Selection: Fearby

2.55pm Kingdom Of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes (1m)

Snow Lantern could be the horse to beat in the Kingdom Of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes.
Snow Lantern could be the horse to beat in the Kingdom Of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes.

It has been an excellent season for SNOW LANTERN so far as not only did she prevail in the Group One Falmouth Stakes on the July Course earlier this summer, but she has also finished in the placings in a number of top class races.

Richard Hannon's filly is the highest rated runner in this field ahead of Mother Earth and Lavender's Blue respectively. She is back against her own sex and could be set to double her tally at this level.

LiveScore Selection: Snow Lantern

4.05pm - British EBF Premier Fillies' Middle Distance Handicap (1m4f)

John and Thady Gosden's filly BEHOLDING has been successful on her last two outings by a total distance of 22 lengths. She has blown her rivals away on the AW at Lingfield and Kempton. She will need to transfer that form across to the turf, but she appears to be an exciting prospect.

The three-year-old filly is rated at 92 in the official ratings ahead of her handicap debut. She is likely to be open to further improvement so she may be set to complete her hat-trick on the track.

LiveScore Selection: Beholding
