LiveScore Racing Preview: Wolverhampton, November 23, 2021
The twilight meeting at Wolverhampton features eight races, beginning at 4pm and running through to 7.30pm.
Here are LiveScore's Five To Follow at Wolverhampton on Tuesday.
4.00pm - Play Coral Racing-Super-Series For Free Nursery Handicap (1m1½f)
In what was his first start since being gelded, NEW MISSION finished second of nine runners at Newmarket (1m1f) last month. Although he was unable to add to his victory at Epsom on his prior outing, it was a decent performance from Charlie Appleby's runner.
The son of Dubawi clearly remains open to improvement. This switch to all-weather looks a good opportunity for him to prevail again.
He will need concede weight to all of his rivals, but he does set the standard.
LiveScore Selection: New Mission
4.30pm - Watch Racing Free Online At Coral EBF Novice Stakes (1m1½f)
The Boys in Blue, Godolphin, are represented by three horses in this novice contest and they are all well-bred horses.
Charlie Appleby's runner SECRET IMAGE is no longer a maiden as he prevailed at Goodwood (1m1f) last time out, albeit by a short head.
Having already had two races, expect to see the Dark Angel gelding be a little ahead of many of his rivals in this race – a second straight victory could be on the cards for the gelding.
LiveScore Selection: Secret Image
5.00pm - Coral Proud To Support British Racing Nursery Handicap (5f)
SHAMLAAN has really enjoyed himself on the all-weather since switching to this surface in September.
He has won both of his two assignments, including his latest outing over this distance at Lingfield by five lengths.
A 10lb rise in the ratings is no surprise as the handicap aims to get a grip of the horse.
There should be more to come from Kevin Philippart De Foy's colt, so this step up in class is unlikely going to stop him completing his hat-trick.
LiveScore Selection: Shamlaan
6.00pm - Betway Handicap (5f)
This is set to be a drop down in class for EXALTED ANGEL as he contested a Listed race on his latest start at Lingfield (6f).
Karl Burke's runner led for the majority of that race but weakened inside the closing two furlong and is now stepping down in trip.
The three-time winning sprinter is down to a mark of 105m which is very workable for him.
He was successful in a Listed race back in February and he is good enough to score off top weight in this class two affair.
LiveScore Selection: Exalted Angel
6.30pm - Play 4 To Win At Betway Handicap (1m4f)
OZ LEGEND prevailed on his second career start on the all-weather at Newcastle (1m) but he has been unable to add to his tally since then.
The three-year-old gelding is now with James Ferguson, and he made a decent start for his new trainer earlier this month, finishing second of nine at Newcastle (1m2f).
A step up to this new distance is likely to be appreciated by the son of Australia.
The horse that beat him last time out has come out and won again since so that form looks even better now.
LiveScore Selection: Oz Legend.
