Rogue Bear looking to extend fine Nottingham form
Rogue Bear looking to extend fine Nottingham form

Nottingham is one of five meetings in the UK and Ireland on Wednesday.

The going heading into this Flat meeting is described as 'Good To Soft, Soft in places' and the action takes place from 1.05pm until 4.55pm.

We have picked five horses for you to follow across the card.

1.05pm - EBF Stallions Golden Horn Maiden Stakes (1m½f)

Derby winner Golden Horn prevailed in this race on his debut in 2014.

He obviously went on to have a fantastic career on the track. This year's renewal has attracted some well-bred colts, many of which will be expected to have exciting futures, including ISLAND FALCON

Saeed bin Suroor's runner has had the benefit of having an outright already.

He finished third of 12 on his opening start at Goodwood (1m1f) earlier this month. He was staying on well in the closing stages.

Expect to see him step up on this second outing.

LiveScore selection: Island Falcon

1.40pm - Join Racing TV Now Handicap (1m½f)

A second win in four starts came for ROGUE BEAR over this C&D on his latest appearance.

This horse looked to significantly improve for the step up in trip so there may be a lot more to come from him over this distance.

The handicapper has put Tom Clover's runner up 6lb in the ratings. He remains unexposed and, importantly, he is proven on the ground conditions.

A follow-up success is likely.

LiveScore selection: Rogue Bear

2.15pm - racingtv.com Handicap (5f)

RAASEL has been in excellent form over the last couple of months. He completed a hat-trick over this C&D earlier this month.

His last success was his second straight win at this course, so he clearly enjoys himself here.

Michael Appleby's gelding has been winning by small margins, which means he has not been penalised too much.

He has gone up just 3lb for his latest win and should be the one they all have to beat again.

LiveScore selection: Raasel

3.23pm - Racing TV Extra Handicap (Div II) (5f)

Weights in favour of The Daley Express
Weights in favour of The Daley Express

Mister Bluebird and THE DALEY EXPRESS finished first and second respectively last time out at (5f).

The placings can be reversed this time around as the latter is on much more favourable terms in the weights.

Ronald Harris' runner is a consistent sprinter who has prevailed over this C&D.

He is 5lb lower than his last winning mark and conditions will not be a problem for the experienced runner.

LiveScore selection: The Daley Express

4.55pm - AJA Handicap (1m2f)

Jim Boyle's gelding ANGELS ROC remains a maiden after 13 starts.

There have been enough signs this season to suggest the four-year-old's maiden will be broken soon.

The son of Roderic O'Conner hit the frame on his latest outing when he was third of 11 at Brighton (1m2f).

The handicapper has given this horse more help as he is down to a new career-low mark of 51.

The opposition here does not look very strong, so this is a good opportunity for him to land that first success.

LiveScore selection: Angels Roc
