Bashkirova is looking to make it four from four after winning on her handicap debut

The Virgin Bet Wentworth Stakes and Virgin Bet November Handicap are on the menu at the final meeting of the Flat season on Saturday at Doncaster.

The opening contest takes place at 11.50am and the official going is described as 'Soft' but there are showers forecast for the afternoon at Town Moor.

We have picked five horses for you to follow.

11.50am — Virgin Bet Nursery Handicap (6f)

There was just a nose separating HE'S A GENTLEMAN from a maiden success at Haydock (5f) last month.

That was the second time the two-year-old colt has had to settle for the runner-up spot in his four appearances.

Tom Dascombe's colt remains open to improvement so although he has gone up 3lb in the ratings, he has a big chance of recording his first success.

LiveScore selection: He's A Gentleman

12.55pm — British EBF Gillies Fillies' Stakes (1m2f - Listed)

BASHKIROVA is unbeaten in three outings with her latest victory coming at Newmarket on her handicap debut.

The daughter of Pivotal was once again impressive and is now up to a mark of 97. The filly from William Haggas' yard is up in trip here but her breeding suggests it should not be a problem.

She has low mileage on the clock but has shown few signs of inexperience. If the three-year-old passes this latest test, she could be one to keep an eye on in Group action next season.

LiveScore selection: Bashkirova

2.05pm — Virgin Bet Wentworth Stakes (6f - Listed)

King's Lynn is fancied to land for Andrew Balding in the Virgin Bet Wentworth Stakes
King's Lynn is fancied to land for Andrew Balding in the Virgin Bet Wentworth Stakes

It has been a good season for KING'S LYNN who has not only prevailed at this level, he has run some big races in Group company.

He did not disgrace himself in the Group One King's Stand Stakes earlier this season, while on his latest start he finished second of 12 in a Group Three contest at Ascot.

The four-year-old gelding, who represents Andrew Balding, is the highest-rated horse in the field. If he reproduces the same form he has shown all year, he will be tough to beat in this sprint race.

LiveScore selection: King's Lynn

2.40pm — Virgin Bet November Handicap (1m4f)

The best-handicapped horse in the November Handicap could be FIRST LIGHT

He is at the bottom end of the weights, which gives him a great chance of success for John and Thady Gosden.

The colt has won twice from his four starts, including a victory over this distance.

This horse featured in a Listed race at Ascot (1m6f) last month and he just faded in the closing stages of that race. A return to this trip will help and this mark of 94 seems very fair still.

LiveScore selection: First Light

3.45pm — Virgin Bet Apprentice Jockeys' Training Series Final Handicap (7f)

The final race of the Flat season may be set to go the way of Tim Easterby.

He has two runners in this contest, both of which have a good chance.

UGO GREGORY is chasing a hat-trick of wins and with Mark Winn taking 7lb off his back, he may be set to extend his winning run on the track.

With 40 races under his belt, the five-year-old is very experienced. This horse will have no issues with the ground or the distance.

LiveScore selection: Ugo Gregory
