Nottingham Forest have won their last three Premier League away games and while that statistic will give them a degree of confidence this week, it is plainly much tougher to win at Anfield - something the club have not done since 1969 - than triumphing at Sheffield United, Burnley and Southampton.

However, there is a strong chance that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will not be blown away, even though their hosts should be full of themselves after heading into the international break having won 3-0 at Manchester United.

Forest ground out their win at St Mary’s by restricting their opponents to just one shot on target and while this will be a much more difficult task, the approach seems highly likely to be the same.

This is what Liverpool experienced when they faced Brentford in their last home game, a team who showed little endeavour in the final third but defended pretty well.

A fourth successive clean sheet looks a strong possibility for the home side and there looks a strong chance that just a couple of goals might be enough, just as they were in the Reds’ first two games against Ipswich and the Bees.
