Liverpool should extend their winning home run in the Premier League to five games with a comfortable victory over Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

The Reds have already beaten Bournemouth, West Ham, Aston Villa and Everton in the Premier League at Anfield this season and another home win surely beckons for Jurgen Klopp's side.

With possible title rivals Tottenham and Arsenal already recording victories this weekend, Liverpool will be keen to make sure they stay in touch at the top and see off Forest, who have won just twice so far this season and are down in 15th place.

Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones serves the final game of his three-match suspension and left-back Andy Robertson is set to be out for around three months following a shoulder operation.

Thiago Alcantara, Stefan Bajcetic and Conor Bradley are all still injured for the Reds.

Former Liverpool striker Divock Origi is unlikely to be fit for Forest, who also have forward Taiwo Awoniyi on the sidelines alongside Callum Hudson-Odoi, Gonzalo Montiel, Nuno Tavares, Danilo and Felipe.

The visitors will give a late check to Anthony Elanga who has been ill this week.

The Reds have not lost at home to Forest in any competition since a 2-0 defeat in February 1969 — a run of 27 games.

Mohamed Salah has scored in all four home league games so far this season and is hoping to become the third man in Liverpool's history to score in the first five home league fixtures of a campaign, emulating Harry Chambers in 1922 and John Aldridge in 1987.

Forest have failed to win any of the past eight Premier League games in which Awoniyi did not play, drawing four times and losing the other four.

Liverpool have barely put a foot wrong at home this season and, as well as winning their first four league games, have also beaten Leicester in the Carabao Cup and Union Saint-Gilloise and Toulouse in the Europa League at Anfield.

Klopp has plenty of attacking options at his disposal with the dependable Salah already on seven league goals, while Darwin Nunez has three in the top flight this season, and Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota all have two.

Salah, Nunez and Jota were all also on target on Thursday in the 5-1 victory over Toulouse so whoever Klopp decides to start in his front three — with only Salah seemingly guaranteed a place in the XI — there should be no shortage of goals.

Three of Liverpool's four home league wins this term have been by a two-goal margin and this clash could follow in a similar vein.
