Leigh Leopards vs London Broncos predictions: Hosts to add to London's woes
- Leigh are unbeaten in their last four games at home
- London have lost six matches in succession
- Recommended bet: London Broncos +27.5
Leigh Leopards will look to build on their recent unbeaten run at home when they play host to the London Broncos in Super League on Friday.
Adrian Lam's team have struggled on the whole this season, just 12 months after they stunned the British game by winning the Challenge Cup.
The Leopards have managed to win six of their opening 16 games, but they are nine points behind the top six, so their chances of reaching the play-offs looks slim.
London continue to prop up the rest of the division, but they showed signs of improvement last week in their 34-20 defeat to Castleford.
Team news
Leigh coach Adrian Lam will be without Ed Chamberlain, after he joined Hull FC on loan until the end of the season. Winger Josh Charnley is a doubt with a rib injury.
London boss Mike Eccles has made just one change after the defeat to the Tigers, with Hakim Miloudi replacing Alex Walker.
The stats
London have never won away from home against Leigh, with the Leopards unbeaten in all previous 18 meetings between the two clubs on home soil.
Leigh have only won two of their last five games, but they have been strong at home, with Lam's side unbeaten in four in front of their own supporters.
London have lost six matches in a row, with the Broncos conceding over 30 points in five of those games.
The capital club have not beaten Leigh in any of their last nine meetings, with their last success coming in June 2015.
Prediction
There is no doubt that Leigh are the better team of the two, but the Leopards are showing signs of planning ahead.
Lam has already sanctioned plenty of exits ahead of next season, and the club look like they will struggle to make the play-offs.
While they should have more than enough quality to win, they are unlikely to blow London away.
The Broncos were beaten by just a point by Leeds Rhinos earlier this month, and they put up a spirited effort against Castleford.
Leigh should win, but they have been too inconsistent to suggest they will rack up the points.
