Bournemouth to win

Leicester have taken only two points from their first three Premier League home games this season and they could struggle again when Bournemouth visit on Saturday.

The Cherries secured their second league win of the campaign with a comfortable 3-1 home success over Southampton on Monday and they are capable of picking up another three points this weekend.

Team news

Leicester are likely to still be missing Patson Daka and Jakub Stolarczyk, but there is hope that defender Jannik Vestergaard may be able to return after an ankle injury.

Jordan Ayew could be in contention to start as Steve Cooper looks to boost his side's firepower and he may also consider starting Odsonne Edouard alongside Jamie Vardy up front.

Midfielder Tyler Adams is still out for Bournemouth with a back problem.

Justin Kluivert, Julian Araujo and Dean Huijsen were replaced in the starting line-up by Dango Ouattara, Adam Smith and Marcos Senesi for the Southampton match but Kluivert could return for this game.

Cherries manager Andoni Iraola can return to the touchline after serving a one-match ban.

The stats

Both teams have scored in all six of Leicester's Premier League games.

Leicester have conceded the first goal in all three of their home league matches.

Bournemouth have had the third-most shots in the Premier League, while Leicester have had the fewest.

Leicester have won only two of their 12 Premier League matches against Bournemouth.

Bournemouth have picked up four points from losing positions in their first three Premier League away games.

Three of Bournemouth's last four games have produced over 2.5 goals.

Prediction

Bournemouth clearly enjoyed the less challenging task of facing Southampton in their latest Premier League game after suffering back-to-back losses to top-four teams Liverpool and Chelsea, and they can also prevent Leicester from shedding their winless tag.

The Cherries have performed well enough to suggest they can at least secure a comfortable mid-table slot again after last season's 12th-place finish.

Only Manchester City and Tottenham have had more than the 98 shots that the Cherries have managed in their first six Premier League games, while Leicester rank last in that category with just 52 efforts on goal so far.

Leicester are yet to keep a clean sheet in the league this season and have conceded two or more goals to Fulham, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Arsenal, so the enterprising visitors should have high hopes of building on their three-goal first-half blast from Monday night.

The Foxes beat the Cherries in the teams' most recent meeting, a 1-0 FA Cup win after extra-time last February, but Bournemouth were far from full-strength for that contest.

They also won 1-0 in Leicester and 2-1 at home when they faced each other during the 2022-23 season.

Leicester manager Steve Cooper looks to be some way off finding a successful way forward with his team and Bournemouth could add to his worries on Saturday.
